This is a man cave, run by three charming Irishmen who landed in the middle of (beautiful) nowhere -- one suspects because it is near Belfast, NY and not bc of market research. That being said, it is just fine and comfortable: the food is for real Irish, they can pour a black and tan, and Euro football is on the TV.
Review Source:Nice little Irish bar here. Â VERY funny people watching as there's a tiny, dying conservative christian college up the road with a no-drinking policy, so this is where they come to 'be bad.' Â And there are some really funny if not sad results, like watching a bar in a daycare. Â The place is nice and from what I understand, sort of a "build it and they will come" sort of deal where they built it and they haven't come yet. Â It's on a tiny old golf course and apparently the Irish owners assumed that tons of people would come build expensive hones here. Â Would be great for the area if it did work out that way! Fingers crossed. Â Some good music here, too, but it's hit or miss. They had some couple of chicks one night who need to keep their day jobs, if they have day jobs.
Review Source:A wonderful Irish restaurant and pub. Â Excellent menu! Â From delicious prawns to traditional Irish Shepard's pie. Â My personal menu favorite is the ribs. Â The meat falls right off the bone with gorgeous flavor and their champs (potatoes) with onions on the side makes it the perfect meal.
The restaurant and pub are on the golf course. Â They have newly renovated this past fall and have really opened it up. Â It's just beautiful and the pub is so very inviting. Â The staff is always friendly and talkative. Â Richard and Timmy are true gems! Â They make you feel very welcome. Â You can sit outside on the deck in the warm months overlooking the gorgeous greens of the golf course.
Another wonderful tid bit about this place: Â LIVE MUSIC. Â Most Friday or Saturday nights they have live music in a large room off of the pub area. Â Wonderful local artists! Â This makes Fiddler's Pub hands down a great place to be.
