  This place is perhaps the ultimate in scarey dive pubs. it has a long bar and a long row of scary people residing at the bar much of the time. The last I checked the bar was still open.

  If they had a bar in the town from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I think it'd be a lot like this.  I'm not saying it to be mean, because I actually kind of like it.  I tend to gravitate toward quirky places, and man-- this place is strange.  They boast the longest bar in Aurora, I think the bartender maybe said IL but I think Alley 64 may trump it.  Close call.  Anyhow, not only do they have cheap drinks, but they have a pet tarantula that lives there (in a cage).  The bar is inhabited by locals, kind of a shady crowd but nice people generally.  They also sell liquor here, so it's like a liquor store and bar in one.  Amazing.  It's kind of a rough crowd, some drunk patron got kicked out and the female bartender chased him out, smacking him so that was kind of hilarous as well.  I've only gone there twice (both times after work) so all these antics were occuring between 5-7 p.m...don't really know if I'd frequent it late @ night though!!
