I love the feel of this bar. Â From the previous upscale bar called 4620, it has now transformed to The Well, a cool dive bar.
If you remember the Spot (which used to be by World Futon, and close to the only Chick-Fil-A around on the Bearden side of town) the owner has now opened The Well as her "The Spot" replacement.
It is a non-smoking bar, that has a smoking room, and always has live music. Â Friday night there was a fun Country Rock Band (you know the one you would find out in the woods while one strums their fiddle and the other plays the harmonica... you get the picture). Â It was really fun and entertaining to be around.
Music changes every night as the doors open at 4:00. Â Some nights there might be more than one band that plays. Â If you are an artist its definitely a cool place to play. Â If you want to hear live music this could totally be your new FAV! Â Some nights there are cover charges and some nights there is no cover.
They offer a small menu with sandwiches and other appetizers like queso and chips. Â All together I think this place is pretty darn cool so you should check it out.
With a variety of people, music, food, liquor and beer you can't ask for a much cooler dive bar.
Cheers & Enjoy!
The Well is a nice space with a great atmosphere. Â I played some music there recently. Â Owner/bartender Gina's warmth and generosity stood out among the many venue owners I've met, and seemed to influence the generally friendly and inviting atmosphere of this downstairs dive bar. Â The sound onstage wasn't too great but when I was in the audience to hear the other bands, the sound out there was very good. Â The beer selection was not huge but there were several yummy options, and the same goes for the food menu. Â Everything was run professionally and with good humor, the crowd was big and friendly, and my burger was delicious. Â A fine addition to the Knoxville music scene!
