A beautiful setting for a delicious dinner. We ate outside perhaps installing a few fans for those hot evenings... Will definitely return

Went for lunch yesterday. Beautiful, sunny day near the water. Decent live music. I ordered a couple of Mojitos, some oysters, chicken tenders, tuna appetizer and a grilled tuna sand which. The Mojitos were just OK. The oysters were decent but the sauce was prepackaged and not very spicy. The tuna sandwich was nothing special as were the chicken tenders. They have a strange ordering system where the waitress takes drink orders but not food orders. You have to go to a counter and order your food. The outdoor deck is a better experience than the food.

This is a great summer hot spot. I love coming here on the weekends. You can order a drink at the bar outside on the patio or sit at tables that surround the area and listen to the band play or watch the boats go by or people jet ski.
The drinks are always very good and the beer is cold, which is especially nice on a hot sunny day. There is drink waitress at the tables but you have to get up and go to window and place a food order yourself. They will give you a bucket with condiments in it and a number. Your food will be delivered to your table. I find this strange b/c if the waitress can take a drink order she should be able to also take a food order.
I love the clams or oysters on the half shell with cocktail sauce. The seafood is always fresh. If raw isn't your bag don't worry they serve salads, sandwiches, crab cakes, nachos, fresh tuna, steak bits, even pizza.
After all that if you need something sweet i recommend the key lime pie with whip cream. It's tart and sweet and a little frozen which makes it very refreshing.
The nice thing about this place is you will find all ages of people, 20's, 30's, 40's and up. Everyone mixes and gets along well. When i was here there was even a wedding party that stopped in for several rounds. The Patio Bar allows smoking even cigars.
On the weekends this place will get very crowded so the earlier you go the better if you want to get a table. if not, they will eventually turn over.
There is a small parking lot across the street, and of course there is street parking where and whenever you can find it.
The bartenders/barmaids are very friendly, and i quickly learned from a wise cracking  drunk guy who was impatient, please don't yell" YO" across the bar to the bartenders/barmaids to try and get their attention, they find it very rude. (They gave that guy a tongue lashing.)
I will definitely be back. In fact i think it's my favorite shore spot!

Oh yeah! did i mention The Mike Dalton Band was excellent!

This spot is a calm, chill and, at the same time, fun spot to hang on a saturday/sunday day or eve.

Great outdoor breeze, sweet marina views, lots of space to mingle, lots of locals maxin and entertaining live bands to rock out to.

The only thing I'm not a fan of, is that you have to get in line to order food, take a numbered ticket stand, place it on your table and the "waitress" brings you the food.  Why can't they just do full table service?  That's just beat.

FYI:  Best place down the JerZ shore...to pick up cougars and divorced women....or so I've heard.

I gave the Wharfside Restaurant next door a five star review, but I'll have to give this one a three.  This bar is large and on the water of course with a view of the boats pulling in and out.  There are tables and a band on the patio as well.  The bartenders were all very nice and service was quick.  The drinks were reasonably priced at $4 beers and $6.50 mixed drinks, probably cheaper at happy hour.  The cons I have are that you have to order food at a different area not near the bar and pay there and then someone comes over to where you are.  I understand why they do this but I just rather order where I am seated.  Also, the bar area had huge flies all over, ick.  The food was just okay. I had a shrimp skewer over a spinach salad that was really nothing overly exceptional but good and my boyfriend had a fried shrimp and fries basket.  I think it was overpriced at $35 for the portion and quality.  I will still come here as it is a chill place to hang out but I'll save my appetite for their restaurant next door.

The best thing Wharfside Patio Bar has going for it is...the wharfside patio. I stopped by on a Sunday after eating dinner nearby and the place was packed; every table was occupied, as were all the stools at the bar. Drink selections were mediocre and the crowd was typical Jersey. This place is nothing to get excited about, but for an outdoor bar, it's not a bad place to hang out near the water.

Went there early Saturday afternoon.  Really enjoyed the food.  They have a great variety of apps and seafood fare.  Ordering is a little different as you must go up to the counter, order and pay.  They give you a numbered bucket and food is brought out to your table when completed. Seating is another issue.  First come first served.  On weekends it gets crowded and you constantly have people asking for your table when you are done and it does get a bit bothersome.  Drinks are decent.  Try the patio punch.  Their version of a rum punch and its good.  Live entertainment too.  The view is absolutely great too.

Definitely more of a relaxed, casual atmosphere. In the summer you will arrive and have to search hard for a table even on week nights. On the plus side, usually has a live band, raw bar, and the pizzas are great. The patio view overlooking the waterway is nice. The rest of the food is just meh. The wrist bands, flimsy tables held up by PVC piping, and having to order from the counter just felt cheap. Not a bad choice for a fun evening out. If you're looking for upscale dining look elsewhere.

Although there is a mixed crowd and they play music on the weekends, some of that crowd mix was unpleasant.  My BF sat in someone's chair and that someone's girlfriend shoved my BF out of it.  I had to leave so that a brawl wouldn't start.  Later learned that people who go to Pt. Pleasant usually aren't the same people who go to LBI.

This is a place I love going to on Sundays during the summer. It's a restaurant and bar located right on the water in pt. pleasant.  Although pt. pleasant has lots of tourists in the summer, this place seems to be mostly locals with some tourists in the know. So picture a sunny summer  Sunday afternoon. Grab a table on the huge outdoor patio with a perfect view of the wharf, and watch the pleasure boats and fishing boats go by. Order a couple of nice cold drinks and throw down some oysters and clams on the half shell while listening to a live band perform.  Does it get any better?  They also have a menu with apps, seafood and other entrees.  The food isn't great, but decent if you're hungry.  But I don't go for the food.  I go for the location, the view, cold drinks and good music.  Sunday funday!

Love this place but you have to hunt for a table. No hostess.

interesting experience.  went there on a sunday late afternoon/evening-  was a perfect summer day, good spot to see the boats comin in & out of the channel.  met some friends there, was pretty crowded.  the place has a good mix of ages-  so sumthin for everyone.  we saw a 20-something bachelorette party at one table, and a 60-yr old couple at another table.  food was ok-  had lots of fried stuff-  calamari, clam strips, and also tried their lobster bisque (cheap) and some oysters (reasonable). the food was exactly midrange.  alcohol was midrange in price as well, but my first beer-  a bud light lime-  was warmer than it should have been.  they have bands that play-  and a couple of em sucked, a couple of em were good, but overall-  i gotta say that they were annoying; it was better when they stopped playing so you could more easily hear the people at your table talking. special note:  a good amount of very gettable tail was there-  all age ranges.  so if youre single & lookin for some fun & an easy hookup-   without bein at one of the places like the tiki bar-  this could be an interesting option.  there were a couple of knockouts there-  with very little in the way of clothes on- so even if youre not single-  its still a pretty good view!  (yeah thats kind of a sleazeball comment, but its true!)  another special note-  when we left at 10:00 pm sunday nite-  there were about 10 cops hangin around outside; why???  if youre driving out of point pleasant after drinking, or if ya feel like takin a piss on a shrub while youre walking to your car-  watch out!!!!!-  a lot of cops, including plenty of those asshole aux. cops on bikes!!

The Patio Bar at the Wharfside is a great outdoor spot. Bands usually play on the weekends and you can arrive by boat. While it gets crowded and finding a table can be a little difficult, the crowd is a little older and less obnoxious in the summer than many other local bars.
