Winking Lizard

I've been coming to this place for years, the 100 + beers, not to mention some of the best wings and food anywhere ...  This place is great, and like it's been said the Avon address is merely 500 feet outside Westlake lol

The outdoor patio is the best part of this place.  I think it is the best out door patio in that part of town. I have never been a fan of winking lizards food in general.   Only tend to go there In the summer time for the patio and drinks.

Winking Lizard easily has one of the greatest beer lists ever.  They always have Green Flash IPA- that alone is worth one star.  Wing nights are defiantly the days to go- Monday and Tuesday.  You can get 12 boneless wings for $3.50, and you can blow the money you save on any of their great beers.  Goldfinger is a terrific sauce if you like sweet, spicy garlic and Thai are awesome if you prefer something with a little more bite.  Other things on the menu are so-so.  I got the buffalo chicken sandwich one time and it tasted like it had been buried in the ground and dug up, or at least kicked around on the kitchen floor for a while.  Their burgers are decent and they have some solid pizza.  I really dig the patio; it's secluded and there's lots of topiary.  The inside is neat, unless you eat in the attic which, like any other attic, is sweltering and stuffy in the summer and frigid in the winter.  The service is OK, the wait staff always seems weighed down by the burden of their stressful occupation.  Best case scenario: go for a few brews and some wings.
