Wit's End Comedy Club

We've been here a number of times because it is great, cheap comedy! One year, we went here for their Valentine's Day event, which was really fun. The tickets were a little more than usual because they included a dessert bar. Definitely follow Mo C.'s tip of calling ahead to make a reservation. Some of the seats are really close together, so we always request ones at the back. Also, once we planned a night to just drop by and see some comedy, and when we got there, they were closed! I think something happened with the comedian, but it was a bummer.

Wit's End Comedy Club is Closing for good. Got an e-mail newsletter that doors will shut this weekend. Saw a free show on Valentines Day but did not ask staff......any regular in the Denver comedy-club scene will have the answer for you.

My girlfriend had a groupon for a show that had to be used soon so we went to check out an event. She called ahead on Tuesday to let them know we would be there, but she was nowhere on the list. Good thing it wasn't sold out or we would have been in trouble since we are both quite busy.

They sat us in the front row directly in the center. Not a bad thing as I don't really worry about being heckled at all. I can take it. So could my girlfriend.

For a comedy club, the beers were not overpriced and neither were the drinks. I've seen more expensive drinks in Lodo so I have no issues with that whatsoever. The only issue that I have is the fact that the service was so slow. It took 10 minutes for me to get my drink each time after I ordered. That could be why they didn't get crazy on us when my girlfriend only got 1 drink.

The MC wasn't funny at all, the second comedian was OK and the headliner was average as well. No one I'd pay to see, but the ticket was free so that's fine with me. I will definitely be back and this time hope that the experience is a bit better.

Overall, it was a fun night out and I recommend this for people who want to see comedy on a budget
