Good spot, I wasn't really expecting quality Chinese in this part of NJ but I was wrong.
The place is nice, nothing over the top, but definitely not your take out type chinese restaurant.
The waiters are all very friendly and eager to serve.
Tried the scallion pancakes to start. Typical scallion pancakes, not bad, but not exceptional.
Had a cup of hot and sour soup to follow which was pretty good. For my entree (this was at lunch time), I had kung pao chicken with brown rice. It was very well prepared, with just the right kick to it. My companion had a vegetable lo mein which was also very good.
    They serve alcohol too.
If you are in the area, definitely check it out.

Very good Sushi, Japanese and Chinese foods. It's always something we look forward to. Saki, beer, wine and mixed drinks are always available to compliment your meal. The staff are excellent and attentive.
It's the overall best place in Sussex County for a variety of Asian foods.

Some of the best Chinese and Japanese food you can get in Sussex County. Service is good, with all the usual trappings and ambiance of a Chinese restaurant. I enjoy the sesame chicken, and the sushi combos if I'm in the mood for Japanese. They also serve booze too, which is always a plus. It is a bit pricier than other Chinese places in the area, but it's definitely worth it in my opinion.

Two couples out for Saturday night dinner. The menu is both Chinese & Japanese. They serve Japanese beer, not sure what other liquor. The food came quickly, place became crowded after 6pm. I was able to eat each piece sushi in two bites because the fish was so soft, tender easy to bite off. I ordered a yummy 'Regular Size Sushi Platter' $16.95, along with 1 piece of 'Eel Sashimi' $3.95 from the 'A la carte menu'. {Don't bother ordering the 'Eel Sashimi a la cart' they only gave me such teeny tiny piece for $3.95 and it wasn't worth it. Hubby wasn't happy about the price of that one extra a la carte 'bite' I ordered! I won't be doing that again. I'm a petite female and found the '7 piece Regular Sushi Platter' {that comes with an additional 6 pieces of processed crab leg sushi to be plenty. Our entrees came with small bowl miso soup and small salad. Salad made with nothing but dressed iceberg lettuce and no other veggies. Wish they would use greens such as romaine, or better yet serve Seaweed Salad instead! The dressing was ok, an unusual creamy ginger concoction. The other couple ordered Chicken Teriyaki, and Beef Teriyaki which they enjoyed. For the first time in his life my health conscious Husband ordered 'Tempura chicken & Veggies he wasn't thrilled with it because I think he was concerned about it being 'fried', said he was "expecting something different". I tasted his tempura and thought is was a bit bland. I want to eat here again mainly for the sushi & also to try other things on the menu.

Regular Sushi Platter {Yum!} had already eaten the piece of…

I've eaten here a handful of times, and always enjoyed it. I largely go in for their Chinese, which is excellent, but am often there with Sushi fans, and no one's ever had a complaint. My most recent visit was last night, and it didn't disappoint.

The edamame was great, as always, as was my Chicken with Garlic Sauce. My parents enjoyed their spicy tuna rolls. I tried some General Tso's chicken, which was also excellent. If it weren't such a long ride from work, I'd regularly stop up for dinner.

Recently I was on an adventure in unfamiliar territory (New Jersey) with my cousin to get a puppy. Since we got lost about six times on the way to our destination, we were famished by the time we arrived. Before picking the new pup up, we decided to explore the strip-mall of a town we were in and see if there was anywhere to eat. Pretty much any time we get the opportunity to have Japanese food, we jump at it. So when we saw the sign for Wok & Sushi, I made a very abrupt and somewhat uncoordinated turn into the parking lot, earning lots of honks from angry Jerseyites in the process (get over it, you drive like idiots in my state).

The atmosphere of the restaurant was pretty typical - lots of lanterns, dragons, orchids, bamboo, and everything else you can expect to find at a place that serves Asian cuisine. The menu and prices were equally unsurprising. Despite us arriving during the Saturday night rush, we were seated promptly and at the opposite end of the restaurant from a table of unruly high schoolers, so nothing to complain about there. Our waiter arrived almost immediately, which I also appreciated.

We shared a pot of black tea, which was delightful - just on the edge of strong without being overpowering. We were served those crunchy noodles before our food came with some duck sauce on the side. They were stale. Luckily the miso soups we ordered fully made up for it. Definitely some of the best I have had, with nice chunks of tofu and not too many green onions. We each got a maki roll for dinner, her a California and me an eel and avocado. Mine was pretty good - not too oily like a lot of eel rolls can be.

Overall our meal was satisfactory. On the off chance that I find myself in Franklin, NJ again, I would definitely stop by Wok & Sushi for a quick bite.

As a large part of my seemingly endless birthday week/weekend my mother and extended family took me to Wok N' Sushi in Franklin for dinner this past Saturday. I love sushi, I'm very particular about my sushi and the extent of the special roll menu as well. I enjoy everything from the broken English to the decor to the tea to the fortune cookies. As for Wok N' Sushi it wasn't much different but I'll walk you through it.

We drove there from Pompton Lakes, so frankly it was 30 minutes but a very easy drive up north and not a big deal. The place has a nice amount of parking and so I grabbed my girlfriend Megan and the family and we got up to the door. Wonderfully, they had our table set up and an eager waiter ready to service us. Drinks came quick- if I remember correctly they had a full bar but it was absolutely too hot outside for any alcohol. They refilled and refilled our water and my green tea frequently which was wonderful.

The decor is standard. The furniture has a nice light wooden touch and the lines are crisp. Megan commented on the wonderful display case of a puffy cheeked young boy with doing kung-foo figurines. Oh and they had a great aquarium which may or may not have lost fish after our order was placed.

My family isn't the most adventurous of eaters but I absolutely am. I can eat with the best of them. They gave us to start, like the bread I suppose, wonderful fried "noodles" with duck sauce on the side- addicting. Then I continued my meal with the two staples- 1 Miso Soup 2 Ginger Salad. The ginger salad dressing is always so wonderful- it had a great flavor of ginger and vinegar.

Then for appetizers we ordered the 3 of a kind dumplings and the veggie dumplings. All were very very good and the crab/cream cheese dumplings were masterfully shaped and delicious to boot.

Then the dishes came out. The Moo Shu Chicken was done wonderfully including a very nice demonstration of how to make them without using your hands but 4 spoons. Frankly I was impressed. Megan had the three colored shrimp and it was packed with veggies and slathered in a wonderful sauce as well. Now everything seems to be going well but here comes the 2 star deduction..

Our sushi was all very good. Decently, and I say decent generously, fresh. They made all the rolls very well and to the standard. I tried the Boston roll for the first time- it was blah. The best roll had to be the Dragon Roll. The scallop piece was somewhat disappointing too- def not so fresh, I was disappointed at the thought that I did not notice a list of 4 special rolls over the sushi bar on the other side of the restaurant- I'm a BIG FAN of special rolls- love to mix it up. For me 4 special rolls DOES not cut it. I like lots of options so disappointing to say the least.

Other than that it was a wonderful visit. I enjoyed myself. The service was wonderful and patient. I'd recommend it as a go to for perhaps the sushi beginner or the sushi-not-so-adventurous-eater. That's it. Let me know how you liked it!
