I must agree with everyone that the new owners made the place a bit better. But, one thing I miss about old Wolfies is the millions of milkshake flavors. They made so much money from high schoolers such as myself stopping there before going to catch the bus home. They now only have 3 flavors. But, this weekend, myself and 3 friends went in there, and were able to get two huge baskets of fries for $7.50. Their other food is a bit on the pricey side, but I guess they have to pay the bills somehow.
Review Source:I've been to Wolfies when it WAS serving mexican food and wasn't a huge fan.
NOW Wolfies has NEW owners and the place all cleaned and fixed up!!
They're more along the lines of a diner joint now. Kind of like Zips actually but cleaner with better fries :) I ordered their special which is a burger with fries for $4.95, I think. I got a milkshake too. It was delicious! The burger was fresh and the fries are awesome! Fry sauce was tasty. The chocolate shake I got was an authentic thick milkshake. I've now become a fan of the raspberry milkshake :) They have a variety of burgers but I thought they were a bit pricy so I went for the special to try them out for the first time. However, I've heard amazing things about their bacon burger.
The service was great. The whole family is there running it. The drive thru actually works now! I didn't try it because the last time I was there, it was the former owner and the drive thru did not work so I walked inside to order but as I was inside waiting, someone pulled up to the drive thru intercom and ordered a bucket of fries.
The inside was super clean and they cleaned up the outside as well. The tables and floor were shiny :) They have a chalk board thing on top of their counter now instead of the read checkered wall paper the previous owner had. They wrote their specials on there too.
Wolfies has new owners! Â And it's clean! Â (although the building is in desperate need of an exterior paint job)
The menu is very limited. Â They have a selection of about five different hamburgers, chicken strips, pulled pork, soups, salad, and fried pickles. Â I ordered the pulled pork and pickles. Â Both were very good, but the price was very high. Â The sandwich was $6.95 and it didn't come with anything. Â The pickles were $3. something, which I also thought was a bit much for the amount received. Â My kids ordered chicken strip baskets. Â They cost $6.95 and had three strips and a handful of french fries. Â The kids said they were good. Â We got our food to go and they used these neat little white cardboard boxes for the food. Â
They do have a hamburger/fries lunch special for $4.95 that sounds like a pretty good deal. Â I will eat here again as the service was fast and very friendly. Â Plus they know how to cook chicken strips. Â Hopefully they will add to their menu. Â It would be really cool if it became known for something special like on Diners, Drive-In's, and Dive's.
Decent burritos, excellent hot sauce and the service is pretty good. Beware of the salsa: if it's the homemade kind, it's fantastic, but sometimes they apparently run out or something and use store-bought salsa (yuck). For a taqueria, the prices are a little high. If you like their burritos, you can get the exact same burritos (same owners) from the taco wagon across from the Conoco off the interstate. for $1.50 cheaper.
Review Source:This little restaurant in good ole Benton City has had several faces. Â I thought it was just a burger joint, but apparently the current owners have added Mexican food to the menu, and so I had to give it a try.
From where I work this is one of the closest restaurant options (its still about a 15-min drive away). Â I went in and saw an extensive Mexican menu, and also your standard burger joint fare. Â I went for an carne asada torta. Â This is a decent place to stop for provisions if you ever happen to be in Benton City (perhaps you're between wineries, or need to make a pitstop off the highway).

On a sidenote, whenever I see/hear the name "Wolfie", I can't help but think of Terminator 2:
--The Terminator: [impersonating John's voice] Hey Janelle, what's wrong with Wolfie? I can hear him barking.
--T-1000 impersonating Janelle: Wolfie's fine, honey, Wolfie's just fine. Where are you?
--The Terminator: [hangs up the phone] Your foster parents are dead.
