I wish there was an option to give +.5 stars! Won Won Wok does really well with their Chinese food section. My all time favorite is the Combination Fried Rice and Szechuan Green Beans--plus they have great coupons on their website which helps us to try new dishes (buy 2 get 1 free deal). Â Sometimes service is great but for the most part you can't really expect great service at an Asian joint...you just gotta accept that service won't be stellar. I'm Asian and I still have yet to find a restaurant that has amazing service...with the exception of higher-end places.
Their sushi side, on the other hand, is just not doing it for me. Â Coming from California, I've been spoiled to know what good sushi is. However, the price points here are pretty good and it is the only restaurant that offers sushi in the Saratoga Springs area. So if you're really craving sushi and you don't feel like traveling light years, won won wok can still give you a pretty decent sushi fix for the price.
Overall, I'd say 2.5 stars for sushi and 3.5 stars for Chinese food. Â Definitely bring the coupon!
My family has enjoyed having a decent quality Chinese restaurant nearby our home in Saratoga Springs. Â We order Sesame Chicken about once every six weeks and have for a number of years.
The food has always been consistently well made, hot, and delicious. Â My wife loves their Lo Mein and Spring Rolls. Â Kids love the fortune cookies.
On the Chinese New Year, they celebrated with dancing dragons, traditional dress and drums which was quite a treat to attend.
Price is a little high in my opinion (price tag usually compares to a meal at Chili's) but not so high that I would drive past to visit a Chinese establishment in another city.
The management and waiters were pleasant to deal with even when we needed some additional services.
We use the coupons from their website every time which allowed our last meal of three kids meals, three entrees, two springs rolls and some egg drop soup to total $45.00 (fed six with a few boxes to take home and saved $9.00).
*Be sure to PRINT the coupon from their website and bring it in as they are stringent about their coupon policy and will not accept you just falshing a picture of it from your cell phone.
Next Chinese fix needed, we will be back.
This is far from my favorite Chinese restaurant but it will definitely fulfill the craving. Â They have a large menu of both Chinese as well as Japanese options, as well as some American options for kids and picky eater. Â
When I come here I typically will go for the bento box there are lots of options to go with for the box. Â The broccoli beef is my go to. Â It come with the an entree, rice, a potsticker and some canned fruit. Â
While I am not a huge sushi fan I have friends that love to come here for the sushi. Â They also have great hot and sour soup. Â If you are looking for the soup as a side you will want to go for the cup, the bowl is humongous and can probably be shared with several people.
I ate here the other day and had some serious concerns. Â First, they use a bento dish to serve the food in. Â When my food arrived I noticed that there were paint chips missing from the plate. Â I was honestly wondering if there could be small amounts of paint in my food. Â I mean, if a plate is old, replace it. Â How can you not care about how food is presented to a customer. Â Secondly, the wonton soup that I ordered was just broth and two small wontons that lacked flavor. Â The broth was extremely salty and I couldn't even it eat. Â My meal came out shortly thereafter. Â I ordered the General Tso's chicken which was fine, but it came with canned fruit cocktail. Â That's just weird and not very professional. Â I have never been to any restaurant, let alone a Chinese place, that served canned fruit with the meal. Â Won Won Wok is a failure of a Chinese restaurant and my first visit will unfortunately be my last.
Review Source:Work near by and stop for lunch three times a month so have a fair and balanced review. Service has always been excellent, as it is a family style operation. Food is good to very good depending on what is ordered. Lunch menu has three options that are priced at 6.95 ...lunch with a soft drink under ten dollars. Favorites are hot and sour soup, Kung Po Chicken, Bentos Boxes are good with a fruit pear slice refresher. Sushi is well okay depending on the style. Fish was not always fresh, as in flown in daily! But the sushi chef is a delight and skilled. So sometimes the ingredients are lacking. Steamed rice is to die for as it is high quality. Overall dinner is when we are returning home from a day of shopping, lunch is a bargain. They have a good selection of Japanese Beers. Soft drinks coke products. Kids plates suck chicken nuggets and fries. Still good for a midday stop for lunch. Enjoy!
Review Source:By far the best Chinese in Utah County! Â The food is always very consistant and the service is good. Â The Japanese menu is great as well and the rainbow roll and magura are always a great choice. Â Also try the chicken curry, its as good as it gets! Â Everyone I have taken to the Wok has enjoyed the food as well.
Review Source:I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a result, I am incredibly picky about Chinese food, which is my absolute favorite. Won Won Wok is very good by my standards. I do not love absolutely everything, but the majority of dishes - both Chinese and Japanese - are excellent. I highly recommend the Vegas roll if you like sushi and the Kung Pao Shrimp Bento Box.
Review Source:I love a good Chinese place. Â And Won Won Wok is really good. Â I have others that I like better but not for a good 20 miles. Â They are a little pricey but what good Chinese isn't. Â They also do this awesome thing with take out where they just let you fill up on whatever condiments you want, fortune cookies, soy sauce, chopsticks, etc etc. They're aren't really missing anything. Â Now they also do Japanese but I haven't tried it yet. Â Good sushi could push this 4 star review up to a 5 but it would have to be really really awful to push it down to a 3.
UPDATE: I have now tried the sushi and well... meh. it's ok. not a bad place to get sushi when it's just an appetizer or side dish. Â But if I really want good sushi, it's not here.
