The food is always good and they have a huge variety on tap. I got there on a Wednesday and to my surprise they were taping a show. I guess they do a local band every Wednesday on the show and it airs on PBS. Sounds like a local Austin City Limits..........anyway, great place, great food, good atmosphere
Review Source:I tried Ye Olde Cock N' Bull Tavern because of friend of mine, who works over on Adams, said is was worth the trip over. Â We sat outside on the small patio and we were promptly greeted by our server. Â They have quite a few beers on tap so that I think anyone that wanted a beer, could find one they liked. Â
We ended up ordering the Taco Pizza $9 to split between the two of us and it was a good size to split for a light meal. Â The Taco Pizza was GOOD. Â I love the Taco Pizza at Vito's but this was much better as I expected it to be for more of a bar and grill type pizza. Â The crust was crispy, the refried beans weren't too thick, and the toppings tasted fresh.
While there, I discovered that the kitchen is contracted out so that the bar and the restaurant portion are both owned by the same person but not run by the same person to ensure that good food can be served and improve any deficiencies. Â
On this trip, I didn't get to experience the bar aspect of the this place but moreso the restaurant and I would go back. Â It has a nice view of the Mud Hens stadium entrance and sitting on the patio watching people walk by was nice.
If I had a choice between the Blarney down the street and Cock N' Bull, I choose Cock N' Bull. Â It's more spacious for the clientele and the food is better.
This is my new favorite bar in Toledo! I love the laid back atmosphere, the staff is very friendly, and they have a really great menu! My favorite is the Margarita pizza. There's also tons of draft beers to choose from. I highly recommend this place! It's also located across from the Mudhens stadium, so you can't beat the location! If you haven't been there yet, definitely check it out!
Review Source:Came here with my buddy, two bartenders working, wasn't very busy at all. Â We sat there for a while, wasn't even acknowledged whatsoever by either bartender. Â A pretty blonde came up to the bar right next to us and the guy bartender served her immediately and proceeded to ignore us. Â I'm never coming here again. Â Stay on Adams St. people....
Review Source:This is a nice new addition to the warehouse district. I would describe it as a very similar feel to table 44(which I expected based on ownership), but it just feels more like a real bar than 44. Â 44 gives me the feel of a restaurant that turns into a bar at night place.
Another plus is the beer selection. If you like draft beer, I think I counted 32 beers on tap. One of the bartenders told me that they will have a mainstay of about 25 beers, with 4 or 5 taps that they will use to bring in some new and different stuff. Â It was also nice to see a pool table. Â
It had a nice basic bar menu with sandwiches and pizzas. Most expensive item was about $9. I didn't try any of the food, but look forward to giving it a try.
