In town from NJ for a Lacrosse tournament. We were greeted at the door by a waitress texting on her phone. She didnt even bother to look up. Seated by another very friendly girl that was behind the bar. We were starving being at the lacrosse fields all day. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgable about the food & Beers on tap.. But, look over and the same waitress is on her phone again, texting. Thank god she wasnt our waitress....Place wasnt that busy. Maybe 4 tables.
Food was pretty good. We ordered a pizza, some kind of fried Mac & Cheese. My pop had a sandwich. Beer was cold & again our waitress was good.
WHAT A GREAT FIND !!
I stumbled on this place past month one weekend night. Place is small seemed pretty slow thought it was going to be a dud.  Then met the owner Ashley Hicks who treated us like kings...  Ashley is the cutest most welcoming person  and so young to be the owner...  This place has great top shelf liqueurs selection that I enjoy...  Ashley recommended the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and it was superb very creamy and tons of shrimp, huge portion.  One of Ashley's friend at the bar, filled us in on the "AH Special" which was 4 liquor drinks a  meal  for only $20 .  It was a great deal and would defiantly recommend this to anyone...  Hint, buy Ashley had couple drinks (tequila shots she likes) if you are lucky she will show you her TAT's!  This place is awesome food and  Ashley is lot of fun...
I had stopped in at Ziggy's after an evening of curling (which is done at one of the ice rinks in the same complex that Ziggy's is located) for a refreshing beverage. Â While my primary focus at Ziggy's was to have a quick beer, I had noticed that they have a decent food menu featuring such foods as pizza and wraps. Â The beer selection is certainly decent as well. Â Ziggy's is a little on the small side, but certainly doesn't seem to get busy. Â Iin fact, I believe the Triangle curling contingent were the only customers at the late hour I was there.
Review Source:K.M. insults Ziggys for serving Italian food and the owner isn't Italian. Â Further citing an Italian would never serve a specialty pizza such as a cheeseburger pizza. Â While Ziggys does have a predominately authentic Italian menu it has a large compliment and variety of American dishes as well. Â After all. Â It's a sports bar in a sports complex. Â If you are looking for a limited italian menu, this place isn't for you. Â If you want great NY Pizza and a large selection of authentic Italian dishes, then this place rocks. Great values, creative specialties that kids love, and plenty of American and Italian options at an affordable price. Â K.M's review didn't even cite trying anything. Â Sounds like they just wanted to bash a place for personal reasons.
Review Source:First trip to Ziggy's was this last week, and I have now been again this weekend since the first visit. That should tell you how much I enjoyed this place!
Ziggy's is in The Factory in Wake Forest, just to the left of the YMCA entrance. They go hand in hand, right? I was helping with packet pick-ups for the Tunnel to Tower 5K at the YMCA this past week and when it was close down time, we agreed to go get a bite at Ziggy's. I had seen the place a thousand times but am usually not down with the places that have a million kids around it too but since it was later, the place was adults only!
I was surprised when I entered because there was a bar! I had no idea the place had a bar! We were told to grab a table anywhere and a server greeted us. We all ordered beers, not a huge selection but beer is beer afterall. Sometimes it doesn't matter. Since we were all so hungry, we didn't even glance at the menu, and just ordered a pepperoni pizza.
The food came out in about 15 minutes, and it was actually really good. It was the traditional NY thin crust style pizza and it was really flavorful. The service was great, place was clean, and kid-free. As an adult who is often fearful of going anywhere near the Factory because of it being geared towards kids, I was pleasantly surprised and happy to return again Sunday for lunch. Hubs and I were coming back into town and he wanted to give Ziggy's a shot too. We dined outside, ordered a pizza, had beer and there were minimal kids outside which was nice.
Ziggy's is a nice surpise and I willl happily venture to The Factory to dine there again.
I've had been going to Ziggy's for quite a few years now, their lunch specials can not be beat. I am very much a creature of habit and if I like something I'll usually get the same thing. This has almost been the case with me here. I love the Buffalo chicken wrap. It has just the right amount of heat and sauce for it to heat up your mouth, but not burn you so you can't taste the other parts of your meal and tongue. Another one of my favorites here is the pepperoni pizza. It brings me back to my childhood days of geting pizza at the local pizza store on any corner in Long Island. I've tried quite a few of the panninis and the chicken in the grass is my favorite. There is something about the flavor of the dressing and the chicken that is yummy. I also like the value of the lunches. Most are 4.95 or 5.95 depending on whether you get fries and a drink. I will continue to return to this cheerful, well maintained restaurant anytime my friends and I are looking for a fun and delicious meal. They do a great job of serving the 10 of us, they put the tables together and we are very comfortable.
Review Source:Food ranges from crappy to not bad. Â Beer selection isn't very good, but what can you expect. Â Service ranges from friendly to non-existent.
I don't know what makes it a sports bar other than a few pieces of memorabilia on the walls. Â They do have 3 pretty nice TV's but they don't have any sports packages. Â If your game isn't on basic cable it aint on at Ziggys. Â
I give them a star just for having a pizza joint and bar in The Factory, great business model. I applaud anyone that gives parents a place to grab a drink while junior and princess have soccer/baseball/softball/gymnastics/taekwondo/Âhockey/dance/basketball practice. Â A good post game gathering place for both youth and adult teams. Â Unfortunately this captive audience clientele means they will never have to upgrade their food quality.
I like the idea of this place alot better than the actual product. Â If Ziggys was in a strip mall I would give it 1 or 2 stars. Â Actually I wouldn't, because they would be out of business.
The only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because my mom and GC said their pizza at least tasted okay. Too bad it took 20+ minutes to be served a slice each and at room temperature. As for my food, a veggie sub, it was a travesty. Would it be wrong for a vegan to say they truly murdered those vegetables? Everything was missing from it: mustard, lettuce, onions, oil & vinegar and I was tired of sending it back/waiting so I ate it as is. Flavorless, poor quality vegetables served on a crumbly, dry ass roll. How hard is it to throw a salad on bread? The server was nice but the poor woman was overworked being the only server on the floor and couldn't provide decent service with all the tables she had. All told, it took us over an hour to get our food and check.
Review Source:Ziggys is located in The Factory in Wake Forest NC. Â I have been several times and each time the experience was a little different. Â It seems that the service is inconsistent as is the way that food is prepared. Â I've ordered the Italian Pannini on 3 separate occassions and each time it was prepared different or had different items on it. Â It was "good" each time but I was hoping for more consistency. Â Their whole pizzas are freshly prepared and tasty however if only ordered by the slice we have found it to be over cooked and "stale". Â This is a great place to stop off for a quick bite if you have soccer practice at The Factory or before or after a baseball game at The Factory.
