If you value your time and money heed the advice on yelp. The service was incredibly slow. The food was terrible. My fish sandwich was near burnt and dry on the outside and raw on the inside. The appetizer sampler was nasty. None of their food is fresh. Its all frozen and deep fried. The sports memorabilia was pretty cool and it would probably be a neat place to watch a game. Just not eat. By the way, I write this review from my bathroom....... trust me it ain't good.
Review Source:Not a bad little sports bar. Â Lots of memorabilia and some TVs. Â The food is average bar good. Â The fried pickles are good, but I agree with another review that they are super salty (I like that, though). Â The rookie burger appears like it might be prefab/frozen but it had a good strong onion flavor and lots of cheese. Â A solid burger. Â They had lots of beer on tap, including lots of basics like Coors and Miller, but also a Leinenkugel and Shock Top. Â
Service was good. Â Prompt and accurate, with a decent amount of checkups to make sure food was good and drinks were filled and refilled.
We had an excellent early lunch here on a Sunday. Â I got a salad with cajun chicken on it. Â It was okay (lots of iceberg though) but the POTATO SOUP was the absoute best part of my meal. Â VERY YUMMY. Â
The cupcakes are pretty darn good too and I got a free one because it was my birthday. Â
Gloria was a very friendly server.
Really great restaurant in downtown French Lick. Great burgers and soup! Cute sports bar with a great atmosphere. The service was a bit slow, but not bad.
We had the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were great. I had a mushroom swiss burger and chips and my husband had the bacon blue burger with fries. Don't "upgrade" to the fries; the chips are homemade and delicious. I also had the cream of mushroom soup and it was really really good also.
This place is a steal - we had two meals, an app, and two beers for under $40.
This place has gotten a lot better since originally opening up. Â The service is quicker, albeit not a "fast" restaurant. Â I like the Blue Cheese Burger. Â The chips that come with the sandwiches are very good. Â
It's walking distance from the French Lick Resort/ Hotel. Â If you are looking for a place to buy alcohol for cheaper, go 10 seconds down the road to the Colonial Bar.
I read many other reviews on line talking about the horrible service and lack luster food at 33 brick street however, against my better judgement I decided to go anyway. The only reason for my decision was simply the lack of options in French Lick Indiana. It was my first night of vacation and honestly would have rather starved than have eaten at this establishment. Not only was the service and food horrible our server even stated exactly, "sorry about all the issues tonight but it's just par for the course here." Oh and just for the possible chance the owners read this review we were talked into buying the hamburgers verses the unpriced steaks because she said "our burgers are probably as good or better than our steaks." That statement is the ONLY reason I left a tip because she didn't deserve one. She told me before our food was even delivered she would be a while because they just sat a table of 20 for her on the other side of the building. After about 20 minutes of not seeing her I walked over to the other side to see the entire staff cleaning to leave for the night and guess what! No table of 20. That being said the burgers were just pre made patties on a bun and if that is truly better than their steaks they must be as horrible as the service so I advise you to heed my warning and DO NOT GO!
