After a ski weekend in the area, we were in the mood for a good old country breakfast. Â That's exactly what we got. Â Tender chicken fried steak and sausage gravy n biscuits is what we ordered. Â The food came quickly, the portions were big and the prices were low. Â The coffee refill was slow to come, but the owner allowed me to help myself. Â Not a problem! Â The dinner special that night was pinto beans and cornbread and they had many other dishes that you might expect.
Coming from rural Texas and rural upstate New York, we know a good small diner from a bad one and we were pleased. Â If your looking for a special ambience, this is probably not the best place. Â The waitress seemed a little daised but the order was correct. Â The decor is basic, with typical booths and chair/tables. Â The place was bustling with locals coming to and from church and we were able to overhear some of the town gossip.
For for a country style meal we give it a thumbs up! Â ~Bert & Betty
