  The prices were good, the food was very good, the ambience was very good, all in all a good experience, highly recommended for standard American food, large portions, excellent altogether

  Great out of the way spot. The waitress was very professional and helpful. She cheerfully brought me a taste of the red house wine to try. I did not like their house wine but they had some good wines by the bottle. Not too expensive either. The clams were great. Good variety of items on the menu. There were 5 of us and everyone liked their food.  Decor was average but comfortable.

  Summary- Comfy local hidden spot delivers some good greasy pizza with a wide ranging menu with good beers.
  
  Food- 3.5 Stars
  Nothing that's gonna totally blow you away, but certainly doesn't disappoint.
  
  We started with an empanada, a special corn jalapeno fritter things, and an order of chicken livers. The empanada and fritters were both pretty awesome, the chicken livers were decent.
  
  We got 2 8 Cut pizzas to split for 5 people, which was too much food. The broccoli ricotta and buffalo chicken were both pretty solid although the buff chicken was a bit too greasy.
  
  Drinks- 4 Stars
  For a kinda homey place they had some good beers on tap both local and otherwise.
  
  Atmosphere- 4 Stars
  Definitely has that converted house kinda feel, in a good way. Like the bar area especially. The fireplace in the main dining area looked like it would be nice in the winter.
  
  Value- 4 Stars
  Good eats not too expensivo.
  
  Service- 5 Stars
  Friendly, personable and timely.

  A well-kept secret by the locals, Abeel's is a great find just outside Saratoga Springs. The menu is wide-ranging with quality entrees and sandwiches.  The turkey pot pie, cornish hen, hot turkey sandwich, chicken parm, and Mac & cheese are all outstanding.  The ribs aren't great, but that's probably my only complaint.  The pizza is very good, and is a great take-out option if you're local.  Casual bar is also a good time.  Service in restaurant and bar is very friendly.
