Sometimes referred to as the 'peanut bar' (not to be confused with the one in Reading), Kim and crew are hard at work to keep your drinks coming. Â What first appears to be a pretty standard dive bar quickly starts taking on a personality of its own. Â The bathroom graffiti is hilarious and I still sometimes get lost reading all the goofy stuff scribbled on the hundreds of dollar bills stapled to the ceiling - even left a few of my own here and there. Â But the best part about the ATC is that they really try to think outside the box with their bar food. Â Yes, it's bar food - but it's clever, delicious and reasonably priced. Â Kim's chili is on the spicy side but on a cold winter night, a toasted cheeseburger sandwich and a bowl of chili is just what the doctor ordered. Â The regulars treat each other like family so make friends or enemies - it's up to you. Â Only con is that it's still a smoking bar, so leave your coat in the car.
Review Source:This is Adamstown's neighborhood bar and certainly has got a "local" vibe. Since it was right down the street from my hotel, I visited twice. On my first visit (Monday or Tuesday), the happy hour specials were freaking phenomenal. I didn't eat the food so I can only vouch for the beer. Pretty good selection for a local spot. Friendly bartendress with lots of good tips on things to do in the area.
