I came here to find a drink and it surprised me. Its a small place where you can play pool with some other folks while u have some drinks. Oh yah, they have karaoke! Its soo much fun here at 7 or 8pm. Most of the customers are around 40 to 60yo. So if u dont mind having fun with them, its a great place to stress away
Review Source:I read the previous reviews and was not disappointed.  My friend and I went tonight and was greeted by some elderly folks, but they were quite lively.  The karaoke was in full swing and the singers were well in tune.  I was disappointed that the bartender didn't know how to make a Scarlet O Hara.  I settled for a White Russian.  My friend ordered a  rum and coke.  She said it was a bit watery. We ordered the combo plate. It contained onion rings, BBQ wings, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks  with dip.  I was quite surprised that it was not too greasy or salty - they were good.  If I needed a pick me up this would be a great place.  The people are friendly and it makes you want to pick up a mike and sing to the audience.  Considering the drive - I might want to find a place closer to Sacramento, but if all else fails -  will be back.
Review Source:This place was fun! Lots of old folks but fun nonetheless!
Okay, so not exactly a place I'm going to try to find a date but certainly a great place to let loose. Especially on a budget. My husband and I stayed for about 4 hours and left with a bill under $50. Really, you can't beat that!
As big a dive as I've ever seen. Â Drink are stiff and priced well for what the alcohol you get. Â
The many times I've been here there has been bands, DJ;s and karaoke. Â The also have an area where you can dance. Â Seen people line dancing. Â So if you are into that kind of thing then this is the place for you. Â They also have a separate smoking area which is nice.
Hello Almond Tree. Â I saw a write up in a Yelp E-mail. Â I love going to the Almond Tree. Â Jerry McClendon is a great singer and has a great selection of Kareoke songs to sing. Â Mike is there as bartender on the nights I go in. Â He mixes a great drink and is quick to serve the patrons. Â I hope to be able to go in more often in the future.
Review Source:Great Karaoke!
The regular crowd here is much older than your average karaoke bar club, but they are also the most welcoming and friendly bunch of regulars you'll ever meet. The regulars are probably in the average age group of 50 to 70+ but the most energetic, fun crowd that enjoys listening to all singers and busting out dance moves.
The karaoke here is more country and older soft pop from 60s - 80s. Although one night here, I heard "Baby Got Back" from an easily 60+ year old grandma. The sound is the best the area. The KJ makes most singers sound good.
The bar food is awesome. I had the pepper cheesesteak sandwich and I was shocked by how delicious it was - the best I ever had in a long time. Others in my group had cheeseburgers and steak and were both equally impressed with the quality. Â There is only one guy working the grill so it does take some time for your order but it is well worth the wait.
The waiteress was busy but always attentive. Â She was the only one there that night and it was very busy. She kept on top of all her customers.
The biggest con is the age group. If you are younger (20s to 30s) and looking to meet others in that age group, you may not find them here. But if age doesn't matter and you are looking for a fun crowd who is very jazzed up for karaoke, then you have to come here. The crowd does get younger as the night goes on.
This place rocks. We came with 30 ppl for a birthday party, on a weekend where the dj/kj extended a courteous Karaoke on a Saturday night. Awesomeness. It's a dive bar. Wood chairs and tungsten lighting. 10X20 ft dance floor. Outside smoking patio. Live music from the Karaoke man himself. Â Great crowd of mixed locals, consisting of the older 50-70 year olds to 20-40 crowd. There isn't a feeling of resentment from the older crowd as they come dance next to you. I think it's great to see an older couple tearing up the dance floor. We've lost a generation of dancers to bump and grind. The music varies from 70's disco to 90's hip hop. The music is from overhead speakers that aren't the best or loudest, so you can still keep a good conversation going. There is a dart machine in the smoking patio, as well as some high tables and chairs separated by a glass wall. Cowboys and cowboy hats can be seen here. My first impression of this place was shattered by the next hour as $2 PBR Â on tap was aplenty. The mixed drinks are also good. The bar is small and so goes the wait with just 2 bartenders and a crowd that packs this place. Lots of people that I've met here said they'd come back again. I'd fall into this category, if I lived closer. A definite must to check out, if you love dive bars and want to get away from all that lush and douchieness. No cover and a ATM is inside.
Review Source:This place is awesome if you bring your own group of friends. Or you might like it if you're old or you like hanging out with old people. Met a guy there who was Roseville HS Class of 1952 !
Pros: Chill, no cover, really cheap drinks, Fernet Branca, dance floor, the regulars are nice and friendly and the DJ/band guy is kind of cool too.
Cons: Don't come here if you're looking to meet tons of young people.
Overall: Definitely worth checking out.
Oh this bar has dive written all over it. Â It's like going to see a matinee movie: Cheap as hell but full of old people. Came here with two friends on a Friday night to have a few before we hit downtown Roseville. I think we were the youngest people in the bar by 40 years!
The bar was packed though, I was impressed. It was Karaoke night which was nothing but hysterical. The three of us (all guys) were bought a round by a few of the older ladies (what's older than a cougar?). We told these ladies that we are headed to a few other bars and they started talking about the way Roseville used to be. To them there was no "Old Town" Roseville because they remember when that was all there was!
We had a blast there and this is exactly the type of bar I want to become a regular at when I am 60.
We paid our cheap tab and left with the vow to come back real soon.
I went here one time with my hairdresser for my birthday and it was super awesome just THAT ONE TIME. An older man came up to us and gave us a free token to use for drinks. It was great.
When I went there a second time with friends, I had a horrible experience. The service was not friendly. I went with a bunch of friends one night and we just wanted to go to a nice, small place to hangout. There were a bunch of regulars who just stared at us like we were criminals. Â We were trying to decide on what to order and the cocktail waitress seemed very impatient and annoyed with us. I didn't want to order any drinks because I was driving. The cocktail waitress told me there was a one drink minimum per person so I told her I'll just have a water and she said it's $2.50 for a water. It looks like a cool place to go, but if you go in a big group, BEWARE! They will treat you like crap. Just an FYI.
The Almond Tree  or "The Trizzle" as it is affectionately known by my friends and co-workers, is the best dive bar in town.  Strong drinks, gnarly and desperate cougars, karaoke, an indoor smoking room!  One of the best places to people watch in Roseville unless you enjoy making fun of the women that go in to the Coach store at the Galleria.  Give it a go!
Review Source:My 70 year old mother likes to go there when she visits me, what does that tell you? Seriously, it's mostly a very old crowd, even older then me...LOL
And yes, they do serve cheap strong drinks, so if that and some dancing are what your looking for, this could be the place for you.
I give it one star for strong drinks and another star for making my mother happy!!
