Great burger made from fresh ingredients! If you're looking for a Paradise Pup alternative without a line out the door, try American Wildburger. They use fresh meat and the toppings were excellent as well. I have only tried the beef burger, but would like to try the other options soon. The fries were solid as well!
Added bonus, they had a Yelp Check-in deal of a free Organic Soda. I had never tried the soda brand before, but it reminded me of Clearly Canadian (which is excellent!)
I've been to Wildburger twice. Â The first time I absolutely loved the place, great burgers and Cajun fries. Â Unfortunately the second time I went I witnessed how the run the kitchen. Â I stopped in after work to pick up food for my wife and I. Â I was 1 of 3 customers in the place with the other 2 placing their orders right before I did, so I sat for roughly 10 minutes waiting for my food. Â It's a small place with nothing else going on so I watched what they were doing in the kitchen. Â
The grill guy takes out 1 beef patty, 1 turkey patty, 1 chicken patty and 2 wild patties to fill all 3 orders. Â He slaps the raw meat onto the cutting board and begins to flatten them with both his hands. Â After he is satisfied with the shapes he throws them on the grill. Â He then goes back to the same cutting board and places all the buns exactly where he was shaping the raw meat patties. Â He then dresses all the buns with the assortment of condiments and sauces each burger required.
He never thought to change out his gloves after handling the raw meat. Â After he dresses all the buns he checks all the burgers on the grill moves them around with the only flipper that is out. Â Decides it is time to set the timer to make sure he doesn't over cook anything. Â The cashier then begins to make the fries for all the orders, he wasn't wearing gloves but found it not needed to wash his hands after dealing with customers and cash before handling food. Â After he dropped the fries into the fryer he used the same timer that the grill guy used to time the fries.
After all the food is cooked the grill guy takes all the patties off the grill, puts them on the buns and picks them up and puts them on another counter for the cashier to wrap. Â The cashier still not having washed his hands after dealing with customers or after touching the timer that the grill man touched after handling raw meat then picks up the burgers off the counter places them on the paper and wraps them up, drops them into their bags and adds the fries to the bags. Â And the worst part of it all the owner was standing right there at the back of the kitchen between the storage room and the kitchen talking to the guys working.
I take the burgers home, tell my wife what I just witnessed and everything went right into the garbage and we ended up elsewhere for less tasty but much more sanitary burgers and fries.
This place does serve up a tasty burger and good Cajun fries but until they get the slightest idea of how to run a kitchen with any kind of sanitary guidelines I will not be back.
Attention Gluten Free Peeps! Attention Burger lovers! Attention!
Find this little gem and you will have a "go to" burger place in your back pocket.
the owner has created a system of bringing you a delicious burger with toppings the way you like it! anyhow, I've now been there 3 times and all three times have been solid. Â
With a gluten free bun option, you Celiacs now can enjoy a meaningful lunch without feeling like you missed something. Â
The chicken burger is outstanding and the version they put out there has a special sauce and fresh jalapenos on it which make the burger nice, i had that on gluten free bun. Â
Today, I had the Philly Burger on a pretzel bun and for some reason it compelled me to write this review on yelp. Tasty. Â
The only thing that this place is missing is more seating cause once the word gets around this place will be super packed, well get there at lunch time even now and you'll see. If you miss it, too bad for you, I ain't giving you directions cause you might back up the line.
