The kids and I stopped here the other day for a quick pizza slice and a pop (their $4 dollar special). Â My oldest son has raved about this place to my wife and I. Â So after some back to school shopping and the three kids and I being hungry we decided to give Anthony's Pizza a try.
I couldn't believe how huge the thick crust pizza slices were. Â We ordered two pepperoni and two sausage. Â Of course my youngest daughter let me try her pepperoni slice, as I ordered the sausage slice. Â They were both good. Â We actually thought so good that we ordered a thin crust sausage, pepperoni and bacon pizza to go. Â This way my wife could try the pizza too.
The thin crust was even better than the thick (of course I am a huge thin crust fan). Â It was a bit greasy, but very tasty. Â The thin crust cost roughly $24 dollars.
For the food I would probably give Anthonys a three or three and a half star review but because of the service, timing and cost I can give them a four star review. Â Our server Kelly was a very friendly and nice young woman. Â I hope Anthony appreciates his employees. Â The pizzas were all served quickly and were all piping hot too. Â So if you a re out in the Orland area, stop by Anthonys and give their pizzas a try.
I had their pizza and a pop deal that they had in their window. Â I had a pepperoni slice and it was huge. Â However, about a third of the pizza was crust. Â The sauce in the pizza was bland, and it needs more spices in it if its going to be mostly crust.
In the future, I'd probably eat somewhere else. Â There's just nothing there to keep me coming back.
Live very close by in Homer Glen and this is the place of choice! They are very fast on delivery and the pick-up times for large pizzas is never more then 20 minutes it seems. Yesterday I ordered a pizza that I have never heard of before, it was like double everything - even thickness, the crust was so big and delicious. This will be my choice pizza place as long as I am in the southwest suburbs. Â - Excellent staff.
Review Source:We ordered this pizza by chance because Giordano's had already closed. Â This place was open until 12 which is really late, especially for the suburbs. Â So we got the biggest stuffed pizza they had delivered. Â The 18 inch pizza was so stuffed that it was hard to carry the box to the table! The biggest stuffed pizza I have ever seen and a great value. Â
Ok but my second experience with this place was not great. Â So I ordered a stuffed mushroom pizza and he said ok and it would be there in 45 minutes. Â 20 minutes later the doorbell rang and we were delivered a dinky thin crust pizza!!! AAHHH
So people make mistakes, this is totally understandable.  So I called back to tell the guy that we got the wrong pizza.  And he said he heard me order a  thin crust pizza.  My friend who was in my kitchen at the time, however, heard me clearly say "STUFFED" so I said "No, I'm sure I ordered a stuffed pizza."  So he tells me that he will put a note in the computer so the next time I order a stuffed pizza of the same kind and size I can just pay a 3.00 difference from the thin that we got and the stuffed that we ordered.  DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?!  I didn't want thin crust so why should I pay for a thin crust pizza? It is not like 3.00 will empty my wallet or put Anthony's out of business so I do not have any clue why he would tell me I was wrong and then to make up for HIS mistake, charge me 3.00 for the next time I order a pizza.  Too bad that I won't ever order a pizza here again.
