Hmm Took the employees there for lunch today, 75.00 for 4 people, Â I should mention 2 appetizers, 2 drinks,( ice tea) , water for the rest. 4 Lunches off the menu. Â OK, final tally 100.00 with the tip. Â
Very disappointing. Â Service was SO/SO to OK, Appetizers were Good, the rest of the experience was disappointing. All 4 of us walked out of there saying HMM should have gone to ------, UHH, Â LAZLO's, Pepperjax, Famous Dave's, Smashburger, OR maybe Sizzler. Â For the price, I / we won't be back. And NO I am not affiliated with Lazlo's
When in Rome...or when in Omaha, eat steak right? Not here though. Really craving a nice piece of beef for dinner but Anthony's was a disappointment. Started off with a side salad, which had one slice of cucumber and one grape tomato, dud. Mixed vegetables and sweet potato fries to go with my prime rib. Fries were soggy and vegetables were over-cooked. The prime rib was severly under-seasoned. Sorry Anthony's, I will not be back!
Review Source:So a little background....we were here about a month ago for a wedding in their Grand Ballroom and the food/service were overall pretty good, even 4 stars. There was a chicken dish and prime rib and it was pretty tasty.
With that said, on our recent visit I had HIGH expectations of what their steak dishes would be like given the fact that they're well...a steak house. Oh man were my expectations shattered...in a bad way. So let's break it down why it was so bad:
1. SERVICE- Lack thereof. We arrived about 30 minutes after the rest of our family and were never offered drinks other than the waters on our table. To be fair, it was a Friday night, but our order wasn't taken until about 20 minutes after arriving. When our food was brought out, she never stopped by to do the normal "How is your food?" visit.
2. FOOD- The steak was the MOST BLAND piece of meat I've ever eaten. In fact, the entire Kabob steak dish I got ($18.95) tasted unseasoned. Imagine eating a cooked piece of meat that was just bought at the store and immediately thrown on the grill. Absolutely no taste whatsoever! We had 7 people at our table and everyone agreed that the food was tasteless.
3. MANAGER (or the guy in the nice button up shirt)- So the manager did his usual rounds and stopped by various tables to ask how our food was. I was honest and asked him "Do you guys normally season the meat?". His answer "We age it for 23 days and then lightly salt it." He just continued to reiterate their meat aging process and nodded at my comments and left.
I would have expected that if I brought it to the manager's attention that there would be 1.) Some sort of apology or 2.) The option to try another dish. Neither of those were presented so I felt that my honest feedback was completely worthless to their staff.
Maybe if I never return there and tell everyone I know not to go there that might get their attention.
