Hmm Took the employees there for lunch today, 75.00 for 4 people,  I should mention 2 appetizers, 2 drinks,( ice tea) , water for the rest. 4 Lunches off the menu.  OK, final tally 100.00 with the tip.
Very disappointing.  Service was SO/SO to OK, Appetizers were Good, the rest of the experience was disappointing. All 4 of us walked out of there saying HMM should have gone to ------, UHH,  LAZLO's, Pepperjax, Famous Dave's, Smashburger, OR maybe Sizzler.  For the price, I / we won't be back. And NO I am not affiliated with Lazlo's

When in Rome...or when in Omaha, eat steak right? Not here though. Really craving a nice piece of beef for dinner but Anthony's was a disappointment. Started off with a side salad, which had one slice of cucumber and one grape tomato, dud. Mixed vegetables and sweet potato fries to go with my prime rib. Fries were soggy and vegetables were over-cooked. The prime rib was severly under-seasoned. Sorry Anthony's, I will not be back!

So a little background....we were here about a month ago for a wedding in their Grand Ballroom and the food/service were overall pretty good, even 4 stars. There was a chicken dish and prime rib and it was pretty tasty.

With that said, on our recent visit I had HIGH expectations of what their steak dishes would be like given the fact that they're well...a steak house. Oh man were my expectations shattered...in a bad way. So let's break it down why it was so bad:

    1. SERVICE- Lack thereof. We arrived about 30 minutes after the rest of our family and were never offered drinks other than the waters on our table. To be fair, it was a Friday night, but our order wasn't taken until about 20 minutes after arriving. When our food was brought out, she never stopped by to do the normal "How is your food?" visit.
    2. FOOD- The steak was the MOST BLAND piece of meat I've ever eaten. In fact, the entire Kabob steak dish I got ($18.95) tasted unseasoned. Imagine eating a cooked piece of meat that was just bought at the store and immediately thrown on the grill. Absolutely no taste whatsoever! We had 7 people at our table and everyone agreed that the food was tasteless.
    3. MANAGER (or the guy in the nice button up shirt)- So the manager did his usual rounds and stopped by various tables to ask how our food was. I was honest and asked him "Do you guys normally season the meat?". His answer "We age it for 23 days and then lightly salt it." He just continued to reiterate their meat aging process and nodded at my comments and left.

I would have expected that if I brought it to the manager's attention that there would be 1.) Some sort of apology or 2.) The option to try another dish. Neither of those were presented so I felt that my honest feedback was completely worthless to their staff.

Maybe if I never return there and tell everyone I know not to go there that might get their attention.

Left my wallet on table...bus woman caught me before we got 20 feet away..thank God!! We were on vacation and that would have ruined my trip.
Food was average, along with waitstaff.

On a road trip and came here by suggestion of a local lady when we asked her where to get a good steak in Omaha.

While it wasn't the best steak I've ever had, it sure beat the crappy steak I ate the last time I was in Omaha that was actually featured on the Travel Channel.

Started with the buffalo chicken dip which was pretty decent and a good start.

Followed up with a wedge salad. Generally a wedge salad has bleu cheese dressing and is smothered with bacon. This wedge had Italian dressing and was smothered with bleu cheese crumbles. It was still pretty good.

My whiskey ribeye was awesome though. Boyfriend thought it was too heavy on the sauce but the sauce was thin and delicious so I loved it and it was served perfectly.

Oddly enough, I loved my side of pasta even more! Their sauce is amazing and I almost wish I'd gotten a pasta dish but it's nice to be able to get both for one price.

Overall I definitely would recommend this place and is right off the highway so it's convenient for travelers too.

If there was a 2 1/2 stars I'd rate it this. All the dinnerware is so old and wasn't really clean when I spent a recent dinner here.

As for the Potato i received, it was very dry and the skin, which you always clean before hand, was obviously not cleaned and left a huge grit in my mouth, it was so nasty.

Everything looked like it was prepackaged food (the vegetables were just luke warm and mushy.)

And the main event...the steak, was not impressive at all. The person I brought with me was on vacation and wanted some steak being in Omaha, I'm sure it would have been better to have gone to a fast food chain house.

2 1/2 stars. I took an out of town visitor here so he could have steak while in Omaha.  Neither of us were terribly impressed. I wasn't hungry enough for a full meal, but still wanted to try the steak, so I went with the steak salad. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to get excited about. He went with one of the full steak dinners (the Cowboy steak, I think, which was a ribeye with the bone in? Or maybe I'm slightly confused) - he said it was fine, but nothing monumental.  So, 3 stars for the food.  But, there was a HUGE downside beyond the unimpressive food - we were seated toward the front of the restaurant, which meant we were near not only the door, but also the bar that is on the other half of the building.  They had a live band there and it was LOUD - very, very, obnoxiously LOUD!  So, make sure you ask to be seated away from the entrance if there is any chance the bar activity might pick up.  Oh, and as for service - ours was okay, but it was someone who had recently started working there and she was pleasant but couldn't tell us much about the different cuts of steak and also spent most of her time standing 5 feet away staring at her tables.  The glasses never got empty, but they also got filled up every three sips.  So overall, a decent experience, and I'd go back if someone insisted, but certainly not by my own choice.

Well, I have to say this place really surprised me. It was listed in the Berkshire Annual Meeting book as a good steak place and it was close to the hotel so we decided to try it. As we drove up to what appeared to be an almost cartoonish restaurant with a big stuffed cow on top of the place, I was immediately skeptical. However, not only was the inside much nicer than it appeared from the outside, the food (and importantly the steak) was amazing! I got a NYC strip and it honestly one of the best steaks I have had. Kudos to Anthony's for a great dinner at an affordable price.
