Service is usually a little slow, but food is good and prices are fair

I have to say that I get the feeling that service is not the primary focus of the workers (wait staff and food preparers).  It seems that when you have someone else other than the person taking your order bring the food to you, it invariably is not accurate and if you mention it to them, they locate the original wait person and have them bring it out to you.  The situation we encountered was one of having ordered our food and requested to have mayonnaise for our sandwiches,  it did not come out with the food and we could not get the attention of our wait person.  We had finally gotten the attention of one person and after we explained to two other people what the situation was, it still took 10 minutes to get the mayonnaise.  The manager on duty did come over and in fairness to him, he did offer to make it right the best he could and he did.  The food is most enjoyable [(I would not suggest getting a steak from them) this is not a steak place], but one should keep in mind that you will spend more time eating at Applebees than you would at other more efficiently run restaurants.

Honestly, each time I go it gets a little worse.  Today the fam and I went with the in-laws.  Fries were skimpy and inconstantly done.  Mother-in-law got the ruben sandwich which looked good but lacked the corned beef.  Overall service was VERY slow even thought they were not yet busy.  My stake was perfect, but no Texas Roadhouse.  Overall we are just getting tired of the sub-par food and service.  Will head the the Oasis (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/oasis-goshen">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>) in Goshen next time.
