Typical Applebee's fare. Â No better. Â No worse.
Decent employees but nothing memorable.
This restaurant is very conveniently located to four enormous hotels all sharing the same parking lot essentially. Â It can get busy the later you wait to go. Â I suggest having dinner right at 5pm or so.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Bourbon Street Steak plate. Â Total calories are 720 which isn't horrible.
Exactly what you would expect. The only real red flag is that if you go here a few times, its never the same people working. Â that usually tells me the general care put into the dining experiance is low. Â they do have good prices on food and drinks during happy hour, and theres a huge parking lot. Â the service is also generally quick.
Review Source:An evening filled with misogyny and lame company possibly didn't help...Applebees is Applebees. I liked the fried chips with the queso sauce. Addictive and encrusted my arteries with spicy cheese and grease. My cohorts imbibed in tall beers, and I could not, rendering the conversation into levels of idiocy that sober people shouldn't try to debate in the confines of... I just wanted a shot glass full of that cheese to finally kill me off. It probably would have only taken two.
Review Source:Hard to fuck up a burger. Â Thank God. Â The beer was cold, so that made it a little more bearable that the service was slow as balls. Â I would not eat here again unless I was forced to. Â I just happened to be staying at the Aloft and it was the only restaurant within walking distance. Â I'm glad I was drunk before I went in.

Some time its good to just follow the flow and go the American way... We missed out flight out from Denver and was offered a great rate to stay at the Marriott at the Gateway Park for $79/night. This is a semi-industrial area and there's 3 restaurants just a block from the hotel, Montana Grill, Uno Pizza & Applebee's... After spending the whole afternoon skiing, then stuck in the traffic for nearly 3.5 hrs and missing our flight back to Houston, we thought, why not go crazy and eat something fattening and unhealthy... Â So, Applebee's that is!
We ordered the following:
The Ultimate Trio $11.49: Choose any 3 items from about 12 choices and I picked the [1] Quesadilla tower with chunks of steak, bell peppers, onions & lots of cheese, very flavorful and taste better when you dipped into the salsa that comes with it, the best item [2] Boneless hot wing with ranch dip, get about 8 crispy chicken nuggets dipped in some sort of tabasco mixes [3] Cheese slider, you get 2 of this slightly bigger than usual slider with a generous patty. I didnt touch the 2nd one and not even finish the first. Its just OK but its sure better than the slider from Little Big!
Burger $9.99: My partner went for this huge helping of burger with fries. It came open-face with a big patty & equally sized slice of cheese and 2 slices of bacons, i didnt taste it but it does look OK!
Perfect Ritas: They uses the premium spirit and served straight up in a salt-rimmed Martini glass. Yes, this was a PERFECT rita, love it!
Peach Sangria: Quite refreshing but lack the "fruitiness". They uses Sutter Home White Zin, so, nothing to rave about...
Overall, we had quite a satisfying meal considering the day we had. We just want to eat something and go back to our room, rest and fly back to Houston the next day. I have been to Applebee's once before about 4 years ago and the most memorable thing i had was their riblets, i'm glad they still serve that but this time, i wanted something different and i have to say, they are better than TGIF!
Standard chain restaurant food. Â I've been to this property several times in the past few weeks. Â The food is actually pretty decent. Â The spinach salad with grilled shrimp is nice. Â The low cal version of the French onion soup is surprisingly good. Â Cajun Lime Tilapia had good flavor but was a bit over cooked (dry). Â The apple-wood chicken was also tasty. Â Nice change from the regular burger and fries type offerings!
Service was inconsistent, sometimes very good, sometimes painfully slow. Â Decor was standard - nothing exciting. Â There is a bar area but I didn't sample from the beverage offerings.
Bottom line - Decent food, decent price, not too bad for a chain restaurant. Â Consider it if you are in the area and looking for a casual place for lunch or dinner.
Edit - Went there again this evening. Â Horrible service. Â Over cooked steak & shrimp. Â Have to downgrade them to 2 stars based on the generally crappy service and inconsistent quality of the meals.
