Applebee's is a large chain restaurant that serves basically the same thing as any other American joint. Â Burgers, pastas, tex-mex, chicken, and steak are the mainstays of Applebees. Â They also have a 2 for 20 menu that is pretty popular, and I have noticed that they added in some low calorie dinners that look decent. Â However, this is not a place that I eat at regularly, or that I desire to frequent. Â
You see, Applebees isn't bad, but it also isn't great. Â There are a lot of better options at the same price in this area, and the cooking is more dependable elsewhere. Â We have been to this location a few times, and the cooking is hit or miss, depending on who is cooking. Â My husband only orders burgers, and the ones he has gotten here have ranged from horrid to excellent. Â My experience has been the same. Â Sometimes my food is good and other times I find giant hunks of gristle in my food, which seems to be common for restaurants in this area, and is very nasty. Â
I guess my overall opinion is that if it is a Saturday, and you can't find a seat any other place, maybe try Applebees and cross your fingers that there are not wads of fat in your quesadilla, Â If not, then go somewhere else.
