I've come here twice in the past month -- once for brunch and once for dinner.  The view is stunning both in the daytime and at sunset.  Its a great location for a special occasion or when you just want to unwind.  The clam chowder is absolute awesome -- the best flavor I've ever had (and I've tried clam chowder everywhere I go).  The scallops were heavenly.  The service is friendly and generally good although the servers could be a little more attentive.

spectacular dinner. chef delivered the chicken precisely as i ordered it. freshest/tastiest green beans ever. server matt couldn't have done a better job. everyone working here is wearing a smile. and, of course, wonderful views of the sea, and very reasonable prices.

We came here for lunch. It was a little hard to get to the front doors because at the beggining of the parking lot valet service will not let you go in unless they do it. So if you park on the street you will have a little walk.

The claim chowder was the best I have ever eaten. And the fish and chips were great also.

Looking forward to a nice night out with my sister who was visiting...well the entertainment was meh..as we watched the druggies stagger up the beach only to stop right in front of the view with the overhead beach light shining on them as they pushed and shoved each other around...let's move on..yes the food was no good...service was ok...sorry but those weird POD things hanging from the ceiling gave us girls the creeps.
..can you say..NARDS? :P ...but I have been back recently by chance and it was actually great service, good background music, clean...I hope it is improving because us locals love grabbing mimosa breakfast and hitting the beach.  I will keep the faith for this one.

Food and service were very mediocre.  Ocean view is very nice, however.

I guess the food here was pretty ok. There's probably a nice view of the ocean if you manage to make a reservation at the window tables, but unfortunately, we didnt get one so we were sitting in the middle.

Manilla clams with chorizo, fingerling potatoes, chardonnay, herb butter, garlic croutons
Sea scallops with coriander-carrot puree, shiitake & oyster mushroom, ponzu, tat sol
Side of roasted cauliflower & brussels sprouts with beet vinaigrette

All 3 dishes were pretty well done. Service was decent. You get what you pay for :)

I've lived in SC for over 5 years now and I just recently visited this restaurant this past weekend.  I was not impressed.

Service - We were a party of four and were seated promptly on a Sat night around 7:30 - so that part was surprising (but also disconcerting).  We received our water promptly.  However, it took the waitress a little longer than normal to introduce herself and then even longer to bring the sourdough bread once we had ordered.  The main dishes also took longer than I had would anticipated.  Plates were removed quickly once we had finished.

Food - One word - disappointing for 3 out of 4 of us.  I ordered the beet salad ($10) for 1/8 of a beet, 1/8 segmented orange, fresh herbs and white sauce dressing.  Beets were good, however the dish was bland.  I also ordered the mac-n-cheese.  The broiled cheese on top was good (but who doesn't like broiled cheese ?) - but the cheese sauce mixed with the pasta was way too soupy and again bland.  My fiance ordered the skirt steak, with mashed potatoes and toy box carrots.  He too, agreed the food lacked flavor.  I tried his potatoes and carrots.  The mashed potatoes were a little too thin and the carrots needed about 90 more seconds of cooking so they were not as crisp.  The third person ordered the fish and chips and indicated the fish was more batter than fish.  The last person is the person that talked us all into going here in the first place becz she likes their ribeye's.  She loved her steak and I've learned her tastes are very different from the others.

View - Oocean / Bay  front.  Unless you have lived in SC, you don't typically know you are overlooking one of the dirtiest beaches on the Cali coast.  Can't really tell from the restaurant view - but it does overlook this nasty beach.

Entertainment - I will say the night we were there they had a lovely female singer, along with a female bassist and another musician playing great live jazz music.  I am not a huge fan of jazz, but they were very good.

I don't have any plans on going here considering the restaurants prices and the mediocre food.  Maybe I am to picky - but I would never spend over $20 per plate for regular food.  Santa Cruz has much better and affordable restaurants other than this tourist trap.

Love this place! Great view. Good Food (esp. dinner) with great ingredients that seems locally sourced. Good service and nice ambiance. Seems not worth it for a hotel restaurant, but it's worthwhile. Like coming here.

After eating here for dinner several times I decided to take my mama here for a Mother's Day brunch. We arrived early but were told we couldn't be seated until our reservation time. Sure no prob we will just go for a quick walk to the wharf to work up our appetite.

Finally time to get our grub on...  It took five minutes for the hostesses to decide where to seat us mind you there were more than 5 tables available... Then we're told to have a seat and wait until a certain table was leaving so they can clean it up. Ooooook whatever sure.

We all sat down (me, mom, 5 year old, 11 month old, and hubby) 10 min over our reserved time. Water glasses were instantly filled then it took an understaffed upscale restaurant on Mother's Day 20 min for a waitress to take our orders and drinks. 10 minutes later our waitress comes over to tell us there was a mix up and we are getting a new waitress ok but where are our drinks.

New waitress comes does an awkward stare and a long moment of silence as if someone pushed the pause button then words came out of her mouth and said she will bring us the drinks (coke and Shirley temple). 10 minutes later nothing, so my son (who would keep a 5 year old waiting right?)went to ask the hostesses for some bread and butter. My mama got up and went to the bar to see where the EF the drinks were and then the manager finally brings them when she reaches the bar.

Clam chowder and Caesar salad came and soup was luke warm and salad had no flavor. Didn't want to send back the clam chowder to get heated up who knows what will happen to it behind closed doors( a little jizz and juice). Then food came out and everything was cold except my son and daughters meal!

Ok now we were about to get our grub on an hour after being seated and this is what happens totally unacceptable this is a restaurant on Mother's Day puh-leeeez! After calling the manager over and letting him know what was going on he gave us the manager speech "I apologize for the wait, this is totally unacceptable, can I offer you some desserts on the house and we will take care of the drinks as well." Basically just saying yes and agreeing to everything my mom was saying, she could've told him you have a small d*ck and he would've said yes yes. We were all super annoyed and had lost our appetite. Mom ate her prawns on the salad and that was it, hubby ate half his burger and the cabbage in my fish tacos had more flavor than the fish! My sons chicken teriyaki was Yumm! Should've ordered off the kids menu!

We totally took advantage of the free desserts! One star for atmosphere and one star for the free dessert. We didn't let this ruin our day, at least we were hyped up on sugar so we headed to the boardwalk for some rides! Tisk tisk for the horrible service and food for Aquarius... Next time maybe when I'm done nursing my daughter ill be back only for happy hour and maybe a handful of drinks will dissipate the experience we received on Mother's Day ...a day to spoil the woman who push me out in to this world! Sorry mama, we at least enjoyed each others company.

I came here recently when my parents were in town for my mother's birthday and my birthday (since they are a week apart, we usually just do one fancy night out for the two of us) and to introduce my family to my boyfriend (so it was an even more important dinner than most years).  The views at this restaurant are spectacular.  The decor of the restaurant is also very beautiful.
I wish the food was worth even half of what they charged.  Portion sizes were small, and the quality paled in comparison to other upscale restaurants in the Santa Cruz area.
The entree scallop dish that my mother ordered had three medium sized scallops on it.  The sear on them looked very well executed, but only three?  And some sort of puree artfully smeared across the dish?  And that is an entree?  (Maybe they expect you to order a soup *and* a salad course before the entree, because serving a tasting sized portion doesn't make much sense without multiple courses.)  The salmon that I had was served over a quinoa salad that had way more vinegar than was needed, and the fish itself had a texture that I just cannot accurately describe.  It was watery, overcooked, mushy, and rubbery, all at once.  There's no word for that.  (Unfinishable?  I could barely eat half of it for the texture and lack of seasoning.)  The frutti di mare that my father and boyfriend had at least came with linguini, so they might be the only ones that had a substantial meal.  But the sauce was soupy, and there wasn't much in the way of seafood.  All of the food was bland and uninspired.
It was an unfortunate choice of restaurants.  The views were amazing, and the service was passable, but they should be ashamed to be serving the quality of food that they are there.
At least we had great conversation.

Save your money, stress and time and skip this place, and take a walk instead up the wharf for a restaurant or bar, for food or drinks and a lovely view.  We visited the bar for a drink and appetizers, after checking in at the attached hotel, hoping to unwind to the ocean view.  Thu, April 25, 7PM.  Not to be done.  A waitresss stopped by and told us "You have to order at the bar; I'm not serving tonight.".  We asked for menus, she brought them, and never returned.  I brought my wine with me. But my friend ordered a drink from the bar--$12 for Tangeray--and $2.50 for a tip.  Repeated again.  Still no service, no return.  EXCEPT, magicaly when men sat down, this same staff member, ... waited on them.  Served them drinks and appetizers or food from the menus.  This was repeated, still no service to us--two women, dressed very casually, after driving the coast all day (PCH).    When we got up to finally leave--and I would have walked out far sooner for my own vote--a waitress came by and asked if she could get us anything.  The bartender for the past 30 min was also waiting on people and serving them, withOUT having them go up to the bar.  This service was the worst ever, and I would never return or advise anyone to do so.  Service is bad, and the customer is secondary to their staff's apparent indifference and self-absorbtion.  Save big dollars too.  As soon as we went up the wharf--to Firefish Grill, the ugly mood disappated immediately and we had superb service and ambiance at far cheaper prices.  Shoudl ahve gone here first.  DO NOT GO TO AQUARIUS!
The 3-piece jazz ensemble playing might have been lovely as well, but it was difficult to impossible to even talk while the playing was occuring. (They were good).

Beautiful oceanfront restaurant with fab view! We ordered the hanger steak which was a little tough but had good flavor and the mashed potatoes and carrots were really good.  Also the Cesar salad had no flavor and the Mac n cheese really needed salt and pepper. We also got the apple tart with vanilla ice cream which was delicious. The service was great and the staff were very attentive. I did let them know that the salad wasnt tasty and they took it off my bill which I appreciated very much. I would be willing to try this place again and try something else and it could raise my rating.

The lounge was packed when we arrived but tables started to clear up as they began seating parties inside the restaurant.  The ocean view, from any seat, was a nice treat!

Happy Hour (daily) from 5-8pm which was 25% off their appetizers & tapas menu plus, drink specials.  I started w/a glass of house cabernet and ended with a pineapple martini.  My hubby stuck w/beer.  We ordered the shrimp ceviche and a bowl of clam chowder.  Our server advised us that they competed in the clam chowder cook-off earlier that day and placed 3rd out of 90+ entries.  Upon hearing this tidbit I was even more excited to try the soup.  After devouring their divine bowl of clam chowder I couldn't help but wonder how the 1st and 2nd place winners tasted because Aquarius' version was pretty damn good!  The ceviche was also tasty with large pieces of succulent shrimp throughout.  I especially liked the tortilla chips which accompanied this appetizer.  They were thick & crispy, not that cheap grocery store chips.

I had the most wonderful evening at the Aquarius. I wanted to go somewhere quiet for a nice drink and see the ocean. This place is perfect and to my delight they had a fabulous jazz trio playing! It gave the place a special classiness that i havent found anywhere else in santa cruz! I am going to make that a regular thursday night treat! Great drinks, the ocean and wonderful music! What else can you ask for?

was there with my girlfriend had a great dinner. I had the rib eye it was cooked just right and my girlfriend had the fruitti de mare, both were amazing. The only reason im giving a 3 star not a 5, was because of the noise level was to high. We were there at night so the bar area was pretty pack, thinking it better for breakfast and lunch when u can see the view they have and less people at the bar. want give 3 and a half star

My friend and I came here a couple weeks ago just to get a couple drinks and chat, and this was such a beautiful spot to do so.

The view is so beautiful -- large windows going from floor to ceiling reveal the gorgeous view of the beach, crashing surf, and the pier. The decor of the bar/restaurant is also very bright, modern, and inviting. It also feels very aquatic.

Our server came by quickly after we were seated, and our drinks came by quickly after we ordered as well.

We were only here for an hour and didn't order any food, but we had a lovely time here. Thank you!

View and decor can't be beat...it's a great renovation.  But the service was abominable -- very unprofessional and timing was all off.  I was not greeted at the podium near the entrance by any one of the THREE staff standing there.  I finally made my presence known and was led to the table where my friends were sitting.  The waiter loudly interrupted our conversation to tell us his name and  to introduce himself.

Two waitstaff were not communicating...orders ended up at the wrong place setting twice.  There were only five of us seated...it wasn't rocket science.

Food was okay, nothing spectacular.  Nice wine list.  The view would keep me coming back, but probably only for a drink and an appetizer.

Why can't restaurants train their staff?

I don't understand so much positive feedback here.  I'm having a hard time deciding between just 1 or 2 stars with my experience.  First, I came with a reservation for 2 at 7:15pm on a Thursday.  When we were sat we were told by the host that our server was slammed with 2 parties and that it'd be a while before they'd come to take our order.  Ok.. good up front communication.

5 minutes later the server appears and we promptly order a glass of wine, a calamari appetizer, and two entrees.  After about 15 minutes one of the runners asks if we wanted fresh baked french bread, which we opted for.  The bread was served hot and with a side of olive oil and vinegar.  Both the bread and oil were delicious!  Next came the calamari, also good, especially with the red chilies for some extra spice.  But that's pretty much where it ended..

About 30 minutes after being at the table I had to remind our server about the glass of wine I'd ordered, to which he responded saying he'd forgot to order it and couldn't remember what it was.  Another 15 minutes (45 minutes total at the table) went by before I finally got my first (and turns out only) glass of wine, and I went through half of it when our entrees arrived.

My girlfriend ordered the Mahi Mahi (normally Sea Bass) with spaghetti squash, hazelnuts, and brown butter.  Her dish was so-so - the fish just ok.  I got the seared salmon with "Roasted" cauliflower & Brussels sprouts, and salt.  While the salmon was amazing and perfectly cooked(!), the roasted cauliflower and Brussels sprouts came out more like burned salty chips.  The veggies were cooked at much too high of heat and came as salty as potato chips.  I wanted to tell our server the food wasn't that good, but he never came back to check on us.

20 minutes after both of us had finished, both with empty plates, not one person came to take them.  Not even the manager who walked by twice.  It wasn't until his 3rd pass when he was met by my partner's stare of death that he came over and took our empty plates.  The must upsetting part, however, was the lack of a simple apology.  Not one word.

Finally, after sitting at an empty table clear of plates for 15 minutes, the bartender came by to offer us dessert.  While an admirable gesture, we were thoroughly disappointed and just wanted our check.

The icing on the cake, however, was that after waiting another 5 minutes, our sever comes by, refills my partner's glass of water, and then walks away without saying a word.  After another 10 minutes, when we finally got our check, it's for the wrong table!!  And then when the server came back by to pick it up, he says simply that it must be correct because of the discount we'd come with was applied to it; yes the Living Social discount was applied, to the WRONG CHECK!!  Again, no apology.  We waited another 10 minutes for it to be corrected, by the manager who did so by coming to the terminal directly behind our table, then walk away with our check, who then handed it to a runner to bring to our table.  To really top this experience off, when the server came back take our payment, he brought us dessert "compliments of the house", but instead he just told us that, "it's not on the check."  Wait, what??  Why would I ever have to pay for something I didn't order?  At the very least he could have brought it and said something to the like of, "my apology, please accept this on the house."  Whatever...

I definitely will NOT come back to this restaurant for dinner until not only the manager is replaced but also the server.  Although the server said he is slammed, he disappeared for 30 minutes in the middle of our meal, didn't ask how the food was, and then reappeared without an apology.  How can such a busy server not once be seen walking to the server's station for half an hour??  It's truly unacceptable to be told that I must be wrong when I was given the wrong check, and then to leave them me with an empty glass of wine for more than an hour, and then to say it's because he's running half the floor?  The truly appalling part was being told that I won't have to pay for the dessert that I didn't order.  Whatever the case, at $25/plate I expect better service than I would get from a Denny's diner at 3am, and I just got something significantly worse.  Definitely will NOT be coming back for dinner until there's a change in management at this restaurant..

I found out about Aquarius on Yelp when I was looking for a romantic dinner in Santa Cruz, and I am very glad I found out about it.

It's right on Cowells beach next to the boardwalk, but is a lot classier then anything else you will find around the area. It's not full of tourists in flipflops.
At night they light the beach so you can watch the waves crash as you enjoy dinner which I really enjoyed.

The food and service was great. I highly recommend the ceviche to start. La Costanera in Montera has had my favorite ceviche, but Aquarius have my new favorite. Their waiting staff is also quite enjoyable. They were very pleasant and friendly and not stuck up at all. We enjoyed a few laughs.

I highly recommend Aquarius. I'm definitely planning on going back.

This is the blandest rich people food I've ever had. Are they too proud to use salt in their recipes or what? The flavors that did exist didn't complement well with the other flavors. Glad my work paid for this and not me.

    Sweet location though.

We just finished dinner a little while!  It was very good! I had the beets with goat cheese and my husband had the chowda!  THese two dishes alone were stellar!!!!!!! I had the hanger steak it was yummy but the potatoes were cold and so I only ate half. The chi churro sauce was delicious . My husband had the fish and chips, the chips were yummy but his fish was way bland and the batter mushy. The max n cheese was superb but way too rich!   What made the dinner so special was our waiter! He was awesome! We will be back!

Not worth it for the prices they charge you. Pretty nice location but trying to milk that into charging 3x the reasonable price isn't justified. I had a mediocre fast-food restaurant burger that started out at 14 bucks then when I got my bill I see Im charged 3 dollars extra for saying yes when the waiter asked do you want bacon? Plus after the ridiculous gratuity they charge you, the price just isn't worth the average food.

Was here with my hubby on date night.  Rainy night overlooking a stormy ocean but the restaurant was just glowing.  I loved the decor from the moment we walked in.  The lampshades are so cool and set a very relaxed and romantic atmosphere.  Our waiter was fantastic, knowing just the right amount of attention to give, very Santa Cruz laid back.

The Pineapple Martini that our waiter suggested was amazing and went well with the yummy ceviche.  I had the scallops and they were very good, my husband had the cioppino and he enjoyed it.

Make sure to park at the hotel and tell them you are having dinner at Aquarius, they will valet your car for free and will bring it down to the door when you are ready to leave.  Nice service!

    + Stunning ocean front view,
    + excellent Californian fare,
    + nice modern decor,
    - service needs some improvement

My 3 companions and I were Aquarius first-timers and amazed by the view & decor. The salmon and beef we ordered were outstanding & we are still talking about our delicious dinner. Food & drinks are pricey but the Aquarius a top notch destination in SC.

However, our experience had some flaws: Our request for the free window table was denied and were told you cannot reserve them...just to find a second later that the empty window table was actually hold for a party of 4!!! Moreover, our waitress was very pushy but after we send her away twice since we didn't want to be rushed through the dinner she finally gave us enough time to enjoy the dinner.

In summary: great chef, below average service.

I highly recommend my followers the Aquarius Bar for Happy Hour (Sun-Thur 3:30-5:30pm) and their Wednesday 3-course prix fixe menu for $25.

Had dinner with my young daughter who was looking forward to eating here.  She started with the Ceviche which lacked flavor. My Cesear Salad was bland.  The halibut and sauce was good but the fennel was rock hard.
The wait staff was great couldn't say the same for the host.  We arrived about 10 minutes early and gave us a look that would make you think we got there an hour before our reservation.  We had to wait near the entrance since my daughter was too young to sit at the bar and the tables were taken.  When we entered the dining room 15 minutes later we had a choice of three tables.  Uh, I think we could have been accomodated  when we first arrived.
Overall my daughter enjoyed the experience but I was looking forward to a great meal.

We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Aquarius several times now, but the main portion of this update will be for our Wedding, held at The Dream Inn.

First off, the food for the meals at the restaurant have always been good. The service has been touch and go at times (some times better than other) but the food has always been great. Drinks are well poured, and at supper, we got homemade cotton candy with our bill. Ingredients are locally sourced.

Our Wedding dinner was great. I had sirloin with a burgundy peppercorn sauce with local veggies. They always say that you don't have a chance to eat at your own wedding; that shit wasn't happening to me. I sat and eat my supper, cleaned the plate and then had one of the wedding directors ask if I had eaten, as my plate was gone. I said yes, and she asked if I would like another steak. Um, yes.

I was very happy with the food and service at our wedding. At the restaurant, eh, sometimes you get the new guy, but it wasn't enough to deter me from going back.

Drinks were good but food was sub par.

Thought it would be a nice place to enjoy a couple drinks with an ocean view so we ordered a couple dishes to try out.

    Calamari = not very crispy

Mac and cheese = not very flavorful and looked pretty boring

Not sure if I would come back.

    Seafood Forward California Coastal Cuisine

I'm a great fan of Aquarius, whenever were staying at the Dream Inn we make it a point to have at least a couple of meals here. What I like most is the design of the menu, it feels 100% California-ish. Very light and refreshing with a strong presence of local and seasonal ingredients, within a backdrop of continued sustainability.

Of course you can find more upscale eateries of this ilk in San Francisco, but with Aquarius within several yards of our hotel room with a stunning ocean front view in it's casual elegance, this will always be one of our favorites.

On my last visit in early September the waitress infomed me of some upcoming changes that were in store. I do beleive that the menu's are seasonal, so maybe a fall/winter menu was in the works??

Initially we were worried when we got there that we were in for a horrible experience.  The manager was running around talking about how they needed more help, eventually, when she had a few seconds, she called someone and like magic help arrived.

Unique design effects make it seem like you're dining underwater as you gaze out at the Santa Cruz wharf, and the service moves as if it is slowed by the current. That aside, it's a pretty good place. Delicious clam chowder rich with cream and butter; fresh, tasty dinner rolls with your choice of butter or olive oil/balsamic; and crisp, flavorful salads. The New York steak was flavorful, too, and large, and tough. But it was a good deal at $27, with fresh vegetables and a nice serving of mashed potatoes.

The restaurant brings its house-made cotton candy with the check - a clever touch.

For a hotel restaurant, Aquarius is a nice place.  The atmosphere and ambiance is modern/trendy with a beautiful view and comfy setting.  The service is friendly and attentive (perhaps TOO attentive.... our server came back to check on us a little too often for our liking).

The food was good- not fantastic- but we were staying in the hotel and wanted something close and convenient.

I had a bowl of the clam chowder and some grilled asparagus.  The clam chowder was very good, albeit a little heavy for my liking.  The asparagus was cooked perfectly and well seasoned.  My friend had the prime rib dinner, which he said was delicious.  Neither of us liked the french fries that came with his steak as we both felt they were overly salted and too big (I like thin/crispy fries).

With martinis prior to our meal and a bottle of wine with dinner, our bill was $150.  WAY too pricey for a mediocre meal, if you ask me.

As a regular Santa Cruz visitor, I know that there are many other, far better options to choose from for dining.  But if you are a guest of the hotel and don't want to venture far for a meal, this is a decent selection.

For this place having such a prime location on the beach, having a name like "Aquarius," and specializing in fresh fish fare, the seafood (and food overall) is pretty disappointing.

I first tried Aquarius a couple of years ago during Santa Cruz Restaurant Week. For $35 (I think?) we got 3 courses, and from what I remember, they were enjoyable. This time around, my family and I went for a graduation lunch, since I had to get to graduation at the awkward hour of 3 in the afternoon. Should have known this place wasn't going to be that good, as there was tons of availability with the reservations. But since we'd had a good experience with Aquarius before, we decided to give it another go.

We entered the restaurant and immediately realized the hostesses were incompetent. There were 2 of them, and they did not communicate at all with each other, which resulted in us being asked if we'd been helped 3 times, one of the hostesses pausing mid-check-in to take a phone call, and the other hostess just standing there staring at us since she had nothing to do. Also, one of the girls (she seemed new) had no ideas which tables were which and had horribly bitten nails. I don't want to see chewed up finger nails with metallic bright blue nail polish if I'm going to a nice restaurant. Or any restaurant at that.

Since it was lunchtime, we ordered off the brunch menu. If you want appetizers, you have to ask for it, as they will not provide it to you. We ordered the ceviche and calamari fritto misti to start. The calamari was probably the best thing we ordered. It was light and crispy and had lots of fried veggies. That being said, it isn't all that hard to f up calamari. The ceviche was super fishy and they gave us lots of pieces that still had the skin attached or included the bloodline. For entrees, we had the fish and chips, french dip, eggs benedict, and crab louie salad. The fish and chips were soggy, the french dip was bland, the eggs benedict was lackluster, and the crab louie salad was underwhelming and dry (my aunt and uncle had to ask for more dressing since so little was included with it).

The saving grace for this restaurant is the view. It has the most incredibly gorgeous view of the Santa Cruz shoreline and boardwalk, showcased in floor to ceiling panoramic windows throughout the entire restaurant. If I were to ever come back, it'd be to get a cocktail, munch on some calamari, and watch the sun go down over the water.

I was pretty impressed with Aquarius. We had dinner here last weekend because it was attached to our hotel and seemed to be the most convenient option. We didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly regardless (not bad for a Friday night!). The decor is awesome, I have to say! I love the light fixtures!! Too cool. The ones on the ceiling reminded me of the eggs on "Aliens." o_O Our table had a view of the beach and the pier which was also pretty rad.

The wine list is quite decent. I was happy to see Stag's Leap chard available by the glass. Yay! I ordered the scallop gnocci entree which was ridiculously good. OMG. The scallops were done perfectly, and the gnocci was awesome. My husband had another seafood dish - scallops & prawns I think - which he enjoyed as well.

Service was prompt and courteous. Prices are an eensy bit on the high side, but nothing really preposterous. We shall return!

Oh crap, I almost forgot - you get a little pot filled with cotton candy with your check. EEE! So cute (and yummy).
