I stumbled on this place while walking around during my 26 hour stay in town. I discovered this place during hour 2 in town and stopped in for a beer and lunch. I liked it so much I brought my friend the next day for beer and shuffleboard (there are a few metal tip dart boards and shuffleboard table). The irish stout is fantastic. I love stout but I'm usually not too impressed with local breweries stouts. They are usually too chocolaty or bitter, that was not the case here. The stout was neither but smooth and flavorful. The number 22 German alt was good and not bitter tasting as many are. The hefeweizen was light and refreshing with sweet tones and hints of bananas. The spinach and goat cheese salad was delicious with big pieces of goat cheese, candied nuts, strawberries, blueberries in a berry dressing. The staff was nice. If I lived here this would be the spot I'd frequent.
Review Source:I have to admit I've probably only been here like 5 times total, but each time I have, my experience has been decent.
I ordered the "Arburger' on two different occasions. Each time cooked perfect medium rare, seasoned nicely, and consistent. Now some might think this is an easy task for just a burger. Its not. It takes skill, and consistency to cook a good burger perfectly every time. So far they have.
The Arburger is the best burger I have had in Ann Arbor yet. .....yet....
Beats Zingerman's Roadhouse burger hands down.
Ok the burger is $14, grass fed beef. Kinda pricey, but Its a damn good burger.
Their beer is really good too.
Atmosphere decent.
Good place for tourist to people watch by the big windows.
