Another massive fast food chain, Arby's is focused on sliced roast beef sandwiches compared to some other chains that are all about burgers. I don't know if it's any healthier, but it's definitely a different flavor. Arby's had many other differentiators, including a pickle bar, condiments ("Arby's sauce" is a BBQ flavor, "horsey sauce" is a creamy horseradish and the usual ketchup), seasoned curly fries, apple and cherry turnovers, different kinds of chicken sandwiches and various flavored shakes.
Mrs. K. is a big fan of the chicken salad sandwich, which has pecans and grapes mixed in for a unique flavor and texture. Try the jamocha shake, which is a chocolaty mix.
I miss their $5 for 5 deal they used to do, but lately they have $1 value offerings, which include a (very) small roast beef or ham sandwich or fries or a drink or a turnover. Good options for when you want something different.
