Williams Soul Food Express

This place was fantastic!!  Great friendly service and attention to detail. This place is kind of hidden off the road and easy to miss but I have to say you should NOT miss out on this diamond in the rough. I had the Fried Chicken with fried okra and hush puppies. Everything was fantastic. My friend had the catfish sandwich and he was really impressed. Don't miss out on this awesome place.

I recently moved back to the NWA area and was thrilled to discover this place. It's not the easiest place to find but when you do find it you'll be glad you did.  There is a reason they serve the fried chicken Tues-Sat, because it is that good.  It was cooked perfectly, great cripsy ouside, moist and juicy on the inside, with great flavor.  They offer enough sides to keep anyone happy.  I had the mac n cheese and greens.  Which were very good. the mac n cheese was not baked so for those of you expecting to have that nice crispy top layer, sorry to say you won't have it here. I really enjoyed the greens, they were sweet but also had some chili pepper flakes in them so you got a little spice.  

now for dessert. They offer various HOMEMADE cakes and pies. I stress homemade because it makes a world of difference.  I tried the buttermilk pie which was Amazing!! i shared some with my office and they agreed.  One of the people i was with got the pecan pie and said it was at least an 8 out of 10.

I look forward to trying everything on the menu at some point because i know whatever they make in that kitchen it will be tasty.  I cannot recommend this place more, they are open for lunch and dinner Tues-Saturday. Closed on Sunday and Monday.  The staff is so friendly and welcoming.  don't take my word for it, see for yourself

I almost didn't the review. No one can be that good. Boy, was I wrong. This little place deserves all that praise and more. I'll start with the fresh coleslaw that is just beyond description. (Granny's recipe they said) I also had the baked beans which are unlike anything I have ever had. I would have settled for a washtub full and skip everything else. I sampled my  wife's sweet potatoes which were heavenly and I don't even like sweet potatoes. Maybe because I just never tasted these before. She also had cabbage and loved it. The rolls are perfect and the ice tea is fresh and tasty. Nothing frozen or canned here. Everything is fresh and made with genuine pride. All employees are friendly and we almost felt like it was Sunday dinner at grandma's house. I should mention they also have chicken. Crisp juicy fresh chicken that is cooked as you wait. I also took home some lemon pepper boneless wings for a snack tomorrow.  Sadly, they were gone by 11 PM.
If this is soul food then these folks have a lot of soul and I think I might now have a little soul myself after this dining experience. Yes, it isn't just dinner, it's a dining experience.
