I was brought here by my friend, and was very happy about the beer prices on tap, for premium beer on tap only $3.95, that is almost $1-$2 less than places in Manchester that I frequent. Â They have pool table and darts, and music playing. Â The staff are warm and welcoming.
I have not had the food yet myself, however people I know who go there are saying the pizza is very good. Â I just like the atmosphere, and the prices, they are still an evolving as a business, as they have only been open a month. Â
However, I intend on making this place a go to place, as well now I am part of the mug club, pay $15.00 for a 20oz mug, and every day the beer is still $3.95, and as it was put to me, that is for the 16oz glass, so every 5th beer is like getting a free one with the 20oz mug. Â
I say it is a must go to for anyone who likes good beer, and good people, and good food.
CLOSED. :(
After hearing a radio ad for Arcadian Tavern, I decided to stop in here for some takeout. Arcadian Tavern & Pizzeria is located in the Community Plaza (next to Bull Run Meats) just off I-93 Exit 9N. I drive past this location on a daily basis and would've never known a new bar had opened for business 5 weeks ago without hearing the radio ad. This space was formerly occupied by Adamo's Pizza (the Hudson location is still open).
I arrived here just after 6PM on a Monday evening and the place was not busy. The present atmosphere inside (in 3/2012) is dark, "not very fancy" and can be described as an "old school" local town bar with a full bar with seating, 2 flatscreen TVs & 11 beers on tap, a few booths along the walls, 2 pool tables, various beer signs & NASCAR hoods on the wall, and a big open floor (old white tiles). They also have a kitchen serving a full menu. They also deliver (until midnight)!
Drink specials are offered here including $2.25 drafts offered during Happy Hour (4PM-6PM) and during NASCAR races. They also have a Mug Club.
The food offerings include Italian style pizza (12"-16"), fried finger foods, wings, nachos, burgers, sandwiches/wraps, steak tips, pulled pork, chicken, salads, and Coke products. The prices here are reasonable, most items under $10. Daily food specials are also offered too.
I decided to order the Large 16" Cheese Pizza Special for $6 (tax included), which is offered Mon-Wed. I spoke with a couple friendly staff including the owner while I waited for my pizza to be ready.
This tavern is still evolving and a work in progress and they opened quickly so they can start serving food. A new dance floor will be put in soon and entertainment will be featured here. On Thursday nights, they have karaoke (8PM-12AM) with DJ and prizes, and on Saturday nights, a DJ will be playing retro dance music from the 80s, 90s, and today.
My large cheese pizza was all set in under 15 minutes, which I enjoyed hot and fresh when I arrived home. The pizza was pretty good and tasty and not greasy, which had the right amounts of cheese and tomato sauce with a soft thin crust (rolled soft edges/screen pattern on bottom) and a good moist texture inside/firm on the outside. The pizza special was definitely a great deal!
I also informed my buddy about this new local bar, who lives about 5 minutes away. We plan to meet up here sometime after work. I want to try out the Kickin' Chicken Nachos on the next visit.
