CLOSED, folded, out of business as predicted.

    ---___---___---___---___---___

Evidently they will soon be out of business is the talk of the town.
Owner has anger issues with most everyone thus customers never came back goes the tale.

Three visits was enough for us.
    We won't be back either.

This is a good example of ya don't get into a business like this unless you really know what you are doing.
Not think you know what you are doing,, but really know what you are doing.

Was a resident of Simi for a lot of years and looked forward to hanging out and watching hockey close to my parent's place in Indian Hills.
It was 90 outside and 95 inside... beer was warm.  service was Ok, but not worth staying.  Left mid first period and headed to Cronies.  The live span on this place will be short.

Been here about four times now. First, was when they first opened order some cheesy fries which were decent at the time just a little heavy on the garlic. The second time, my husband and I ordered Sliders which actually tasted pretty good, but where a little on the cold side.Third time, included a dinner order of tri tip and mashed potatoes which came out COLD as ICE. The tri tip was cooked medium but was still cold, asparagus was half cooked and bitter char (more unpleasant to eat). The fourth time we went, basically giving them a last chance we order chicken nachos, came out okay with an okay temperature but they used canned nacho cheese with chunky cut tomatoes and jalapenos resulting in over spicy bites. The chicken on the nachos was cooked well but the rest was like something out of taco bell. This was also the first time that the server just so happened to disappear from her shift, my husband had to go to the bartender to pay the bill, which the bartender was not even aware of (we could have walked out without paying thanks for the waitress' lack of communication), Definitely will not go back again for a fifth time to tr y food, such a disappointment.

Horrible. Out of certain beers. Food was cold which wasnt surprising because we waited an hour for it. It did taste good though. Our waitress was incredibly rude and acted inconvenienced by us. She got our check wrong 3 times. We had the owner, who was very nice, come to fix it and then he messed it up. Twice. We waited an additional hour from the time we asked for the check to the time we received the correct check. It was ridiculous. On top of that the incredibly loud horrible music added to the frusteration. I also dont like drinking alcohol at a bar where children are everywhere. Pick one. Are you a bar or a family restaurant? It was nine on a Friday night. Why are there five year olds in the bar? I can see where this place has potential. Maybe I just had a bad experience but I will never go there again.

This place is a joke. I had so much hope for this sports bar but it was an utter disappointment. Its always drama when visiting Arkaines, whether its running out of food, cocktail mixers, or the owners getting into arguments with their staff.... The food is WAY overpriced! I've had better burgers from Del Taco! Save your money, avoid the drama, and go elsewhere!

Came here with a buddy for lunch. We went here once when it was the middle eastern place. I wasn't thrilled with it.  As I walked in this time, and saw the bank of televisions, and then the cute bartender/waitress with her bright pink hair and a very mini miniskirt, I had a feeling I'd like the place a whole lot better in this format.
I walked in with my buddy, and cute bartender told us to sit anywhere. I sat down at the table that happened to be in front of me at the time. The place seemed kinda empty, with two people chatting with each other at the bar, and a third person at the bar a few seats down. There were a bunch of empty bar seats, and a host of empty tables. I guess they're not that busy during the day.
Cute bartender came around the bar, and gave us menus. As we perused them, I looked at the bank of televisions that were ringed around the place. Only the few over the bar were on, but still...it was several. They were playing football, golf, baseball, and I think even an episode of Bones.  Cute bartender asked if we wanted to watch anything in particular, and we both were fine with whatever was on. (We're nice that way)
I ordered a chili burger with garlic fries, and my buddy also ordered a burger.  We sat around and chatted about weekend plans as cute waitress in the mini miniskirt placed the order with the cook. The food took a little while to come out, but when it did it was quite well presented. Neat plates, and a mound of chili buried the bottom half of my burger. For the quality of the chili and fries, I felt the top bun on top of the mound of chili looked a bit weak.  Cute waitress in the mini miniskirt came back with a fork for me, mentioning that it was a LOT of chili.
I ate some fries waiting for my chili to cool. They were quite garlic heavy, and I felt I would need several mints to counter them. The chili was excellent. Definitely not the canned stuff. And if it was the canned stuff, I want to buy THAT canned stuff instead of the canned stuff I'm normally buying. My buddy said his burger was well seasoned also. Before too long, I looked at a clock and realized it was time to head back to work. As I walked over to the bathroom, I noticed there was a whole additional room that had been set up with a second bar, more televisions, and a pool table. I washed my chili & greasy hands, and was ready to roll out back to my cube.
The burgers were about ten bucks, but they were good sized with a large pile of fries. On a side note, I ate 6 Altoids immediately after returning to my desk, and I was STILL suffering from massively powerful garlic burps. Good job guys. I'll be back.

Went to this establishment over the weekend for breakfast with friends....REALLY LOUD at 10 a.m.   The waitress was really nice but she didn't check our order and when it came it was all wrong.  The food was cold and the coffee, colder....I've been there at night and in a few instances they didn't have the kind of wine or other drinks I've asked for, how can you be "out of that" in a bar????  Its really too bad because I've seen the owners several times inside talking with their customers and it seemed like they had really great things in mind and happening for this establishment.  I think it could be a really good place to go if everyone just got back to basics and paid more attention to what was happening.  SAD!

Really, I live in the neighborhood and waited for Arkaine's to fully open. It appears more like "Roadhouse" than a decent sports bar. It's in a packed parking lot shared with Brunswick Bowl. Usually, there are more Harley's out front than at the local dive "Chuys." I don't mean the run of the mill. fat 40 year old guys in mid life crisis, I mean some hard Delta Bravo's looking for a place to call home.  Not a family place or a place to stop in to grab a beer. There's little or no personality other than Johnny Law cruising the parking lot looking for prostitutes who meet Johns at Extended stay or drunks leaving Brunswick and Arkaines.
This is the new hot spot on the East side of Simi for local Law enforcement. P.D. Sheriffs and the CHP are aware of over-serving and the crowd that rotates through. Most East side neighbors avoid this shopping center all together. I'll be checking in once in a while just to see if anything changes, but if I wanted to live in a Reseda type community I would. Good grief...

Good cold beers, friendly people and a huge grill/smoker thing out front for BBQ. Love this place.

I spent two full days trying to find a great local spot in Simi Valley where I could plug in my laptop and work a little bit while enjoying a lunch, dinner, or late night beer. After tons of terrible options (Cronies, among them) I finally found Arkaine's.

Friendly staff, and great food on this Sunday morning. Some kids hanging out, and lots of people watching football. Great place. Recommended amongst this Simi Valley sea of mediocre Coffee Beans and chain Lunch spots.

Fred T. - I asked the owner about your comments and apparently they were open on and off during the early stages of construction.

The place is still under construction but i can't wait to see it for the grand opening!  The owners are so nice, i was talking to Dorraine and there are going to be twenty nine 55" flat screens. I know where i will be during nfl! Great to see something new and good in Simi.
