  I love arts because it's friendly and cheap. Sometimes you can get a few scum bags, but hey it's a bar. You can dance or head bang or air guitar and no one gives a shit.

  This tavern has tons of  old school character, extremely reasonable prices including daily specials, and best of all, an unpretentious, friendly and  good looking multi-dimentional and eclectic crowd that makes people love this place the first time they step foot inside this historic Hillside location.

  SooOOo I went to Arts for the first time a while back after meeting an old friend at another bar and had a great time.  
  
  The low down is that it's kind of a metal/punk bar depending on the crowd, but isn't cliche or trendy.  I didn't get the sense that the regulars were conceded, like a lot of bars.  The atmosphere was just friendly.  
  
  They have good specials, good beer on tap for you hop-heads, and a full bar otherwise.  The bartender was Andy,  I knew him way back when he roller-bladed  and I skateboard(still). Cool dude, he will hook you up with some fat drinks.
