The Club

This is a dive bar with the battle stations manned by the likes of an Ann, Ed, and John. You get years worth of stale aroma (cleaned up a bit by the smoking ban). Not quite a "star wars" bar but you get all types with no trouble and great bar stories going back and forth. Even better, f you want a cocktail and don't want to be bothered, the bar in its entirety will let you do your thing without bother. If not the top dive bar in Dupage, it sure is close!

I used to visit Elmhurst often and hang with friends -  this was my favorite place to go.  Way better the the yuppie, preppie other places in town!  Awesome dive bar.

"The Club" (the name being no doubt an allusion to a motorcycle club.) is a bar. That's about all you can say about it.

If you must here more:
For some reason it was about 100 degrees when I went here. Maybe the bartender was coming off of a heroin binge and getting the chills, but it was jungle in 'nam hot.

Cash only bar.

My 4 Dollar Gin and tonic was weak sauce. The bartender was friendly enough, and not unattractive even though she looked a bit "used up".

The crowd was kind of unwelcoming. Men who look like members of Z.Z. Top or extras in the Sons of Anarchy. They stand outside smoking cigarettes and looking mildly irritated.
There's darts, but by the time it cleared out I just wanted to leave.

It's a "dive bar" in the fact that it's pretty grimy on the inside and aren't blasting crappy pop music.
Ultimately, It's boring enough that you will wish they were pumping some J-Beebz.
