I have been taking lessons at Arthur Murray Oak Brook for the last six months. Â When I started, I really didn't think I would end up liking it as much as I have been. Â But the time I spend dancing has been the most fun I have had in a long time. Â I figured I would take my individual lessons each week but I have ended up spending time at the studio almost everyday except Sunday because they're closed.
The group classes they have give you time to work with other students and instructors and practice what you've learned in your lessons. And, on Friday after group class there is a party. It is so much fun. I think I've only missed 2 or 3 since starting. Â I have met new friends and we have built a comraderie. Sometimes we will hang out after class.
It is definitely a fun experience that I plan to continue. Â But most important, I've learned so much. Â Before I started, I had to left feet but now after working with my instructor, Greg, I can follow in the Hustle, Fox Trot, Salsa, Rumba, Tango, Swing, Merengue, Polka, Samba, and have even performed a Cha Cha and Waltz routine. If you want to learn in a friendly atmosphere, come to Arthur Murray Oak Brook. Â
The staff are super friendly and helpful. You will get to know them well as they all take a personal interest in seeing you progress. Greg has had me work with another instructor, Robyn, to help me with my styling. Â I owe them both for helping me look and feel better about getting on the dance floor. Â My confidence has definitely increased, as well as my technique. Â I would definitely recommend you come and try it out, if it is something that you're interested in doing. Â You wont regret it.
