    The food: 4 stars.
    The service: 2 1/2 stars.

The atmosphere is nothing special and is definitely a bar with a dinner menu. Lots of high-tops, no chairs to speak of, though there is one curved booth tucked in the back near the pool tables. Plenty of TVs on various sports channels.

There was a sort of cinnamony "clean" smell which was pleasant, but I'd rather smell food, personally.

We were greeted and given menus pretty quickly, and our waitress was pleasant and friendly. But. She seemed a little flaky and potentially didn't know how to handle multiple tables. She was the only waitperson I could see, but it wasn't that busy.

In fact, we were the only people not at the bar at first. So we got checked on a few times. We ordered nachos and two burgers (the Southwestern for me, the Lombardian for him).

We got plenty of water and assurances that our food would be out soon, but she totally forgot about our nachos. We decided we wanted them anyway and got them after our burgers were mostly eaten.

The food was pretty tasty. My burger was well cooked and nicely dressed, and the fries were unusual in a good way -- long, quarter-inch-thick and inch-wide strips with the skin on, fried just right and with a nice seasoning.

The nachos were not quite as special as I hoped they might be, but the chips seemed to be fresh-fried in the back (not out of a bag) and there was plenty of cheese and (slightly dried-out) meat with good-size dishes of pico and sour cream on the side.

As noted, I was somewhat disappointed with the service, both the total forgetfulness and the fact that once a largeish group came in to shoot pool and drink large pitchers of macrobrews, she seemed to have trouble multitasking and we were left alone for long stretches. But the menu has some fun-looking stuff on it, and what we had was tasty enough that I would definitely give it another try.

Also, note to craft beer lovers, this is not your paradise but they do have a few good options including cider on tap and Ommegang, Goose Island, Southern Tier and some other smaller breweries available.

We visited here to have dinner and watch some basketball. First of all they have a great choice of tap beers, but are a little light in the rum department. Hopefully they can grow the variety over time. We ordered the croquettes as an appetizer and burgers for our main course. The croquettes were amazing. Fried puffs of mashed potatoes with a variety of sauces to dip them in. Incredibly light, we were almost fighting over the last one. The burgers were cooked exactly as we ordered, Mid-rare for me and medium for the BH. Fresh cooked fries and salad are the choice for a side. Fries were cooked well, but a lttle salty for me. The salad was crisp and fresh. Bacon vinaigrette was ok, it wasn't as flavorful as I hoped. Service was great, we really like our bartender. Put this all together and I give Overtime a solid four stars! I look forward to going back and trying other items on their menu.
