Asian Spice

They have great food! Dinners around $6.50

Food was good; I ordered curry chicken, egg drop soup, and crab rangoon. Nothing out of the ordinary, but everything was freshly prepared,  not gummy, and tasted good. Interior was very clean.

The owners are a husband and wife, and their little boy (I'd guess 3-4 years old) came out and chatted with me for a few minutes. He cheerfully delivered my bagged order to me after his mother instructed him to say "Thank you for coming"...my heart melted! Then, he put down his toy cell phone and chirped "Here, I will get the door for you!" and proceeded to heave open the glass door as I left. The owners had up a Christmas tree and had put some decorations out on the tables and on the walls.

I love restaurant families, maybe just because I'm part of one. I'll definitely be back if I end up in Beech Grove needing Chinese food.

This place is now called China Gourmet but still in the same location! I just went for the first time and it was perfect. The food was hot and fresh. The service was super friendly and the dining area is clean and spacious! This is some of the best, cheap Asian food in Indianapolis. The best part is the kind family that owns it.
