Ordered some takeout as I saw this place driving by.  Talked to the owner who mentioned he left Cuba in 66 and hasn't been back.  Had the chicken burrito but with rice instead.  Meal was seasoned quite nicely and usually Cuban food is super duper bland!  This had nice flavour and seasoning.  Attached to the restaurant is a bakery.  Most Cuban restos are restaurant/bakery combined!  Lots of great selections and a nice Espresso machine that I'm sure makes a mean Cuban coffee!  Prices are reasonable and I'd be looking forward to trying something else!

Love the food here.  I usually order either the steak palomilla or the chicken saltimbo (chicken layered with thin ham in a butter and caper sauce) - I have to run a few extra miles after that one, but it is worth it! My wife loves the pork chunks and we always get lots of maduros, particularly good here.

looking for a breakfast place in Cape Coral Fla. went to Yelp tp find a good place.read the reviews can not disagree with them. What a find...the food is so delisious. From the fresh squezzed OJ to the coffee. I reccomend the Azucar Breakfast Apecial $5.95 eggs, bacon or ham cuban toast w/guave terrejas cuban fench toast....yummmmy.
    you will not be dissappointed.

Had dinner there with my wife last night. Really good authentic cuban food. The staff is very friendly and the service is very good as well. The pace of the meal was comfortable. The desserts were creative and unique. We will definitely return in the near future

My partner and I were recommended this place 3 years ago when we were living in Ft. Myers Florida. Being somewhat nervous about a new place to eat, we nonetheless took the trip over to Cape Coral and were were ever glad we did! This has to be one of Cape Coral's best kept secrets!!
Three years later we came down from Boston to visit friends, and on our last day visiting we took them out to Azucar for a nice meal. I am always nervous about taking someone out to a place to eat, especially 3 years after I had gone there for the first time. I can happily say that I was NOT at all disappointed in my decision. The food was as memorable and tasty as I remember, cooked perfectly, correctly seasoned, and a delight to eat. And my friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. And to top it off, my partner asked the waiter (I think he's the owner too) for a tres leches dessert, and even though they had none available, he had the cook make one up on the spot! This act alone has sealed my loyalty to Azucar, I can't wait to try out their breakfast menu in the near future.
They are open 7 am - 10 pm, and as mentioned, they serve breakfast also.

A small/quaint Cuban bakery that serves delicious food at a very reasonable price.  They have daily lunch specials usually priced around $5.95 and include traditional dishes like Fricasse de Pollo and Ropa Vieja.  The dinner menu is very extensive and has seafood, chicken, beef, and pork offerings.

I've been searching for a replacement for Azucar in Southern CA,and after 10 months  I still haven't found it.

Breakfast is good, filling and very inexpensive.  Cuban sandwich is tasty and huge - I could only eat half.
