We stopped by Dry Dock and had a pint, but needed food. Â We spotted this place in the back of the parking lot and walked over.
One step inside and I wanted to leave.
I can handle dive bars, but this was a depressing dive bar.
Summary: (cold beer, bad food, good prices, darts, pool tables)
If that's what you like, come on in.
As for me, I'll wander back to Dry Dock with some carryout from anyplace else.
BD Wolfs is a dive bar. Â Not a pretend dive bar, but an actual dive bar. Â If you're looking for a spot that pours heavy for cheap, this is the place for you. Â BD Wolfs has tons of dart boards, a few pool tables, and a jukebox that rocks. Â Play a few "Guilty Pleasures" and belly up to the bar for a few shots. Â I must warn you - something about this place always makes someone in the group make bad decisions. Â Don't let that be you. Â
I would have given BD Wolfs 3 stars, except the kitchen is never open when I'm there. Â I mean, I'm not expecting a 5-star meal, but when you're serving drinks this strong, you need to have a little something in your belly. Â Apparently they have a menu, and from what the barkeep tells me, the food is really good. Â It's just unfortunate that I've never seen any proof.
So, in summary: Liquor = great. Â Fun & Games = good. Â Food = don't plan on it.
