My introduction to Nigerian food was actually my boyfriends home cooking, which was delicious. Â Being semi-new to Denver, he had mentioned he hadn't found a Nigerian restaurant yet. Â No worries, my trusty Yelp app led me to The Palace...which led to cool points for 'ol Cherie. Â The space is simple, but we certainly don't come here for the decor...it's Omobas home cookin that keeps us coming back. Â If you like spice, get the pepper soup...it's delicious and sure to clear your sinuses. Â The amala with stewed beef is flavorful and different from anything I've ever tried. Â My go-to dish is definitely the jollof rice with goat and mixed vegetables. Â Throw in some oh-so-addictive fried plantains and I am good to go! Â Can't wait for our next visit.
Review Source:Got my goat. Â It was delicious too. Â Far and away the best Nigerian food I have ever eaten. Â While it was my first to time for Nigerian food, it won't be my last.
The goat was braised tender and paired well with the rice, which was cooked in fresh vegetable purée and seasoned with curry.  It was served with mixed fresh cooked vegetables (zucchini, peppers, onion, and carrots).  Em had a mix of fish, shrimp and bay scallops, and was also delicious.
The decor is sparse (no pictures on the walls) and was an ornate clock and a pair of flat screen TVs. Â The music was too loud. Â But the food made up for it all.
This is a new restaurant and appears to be not quite sure of what it wants to be. Â The menu is not only Nigerian, but also cheese steaks, while they may both be tasty, the combo is strange. Â Nonetheless, I recommend giving the Palace a try.
