I grew up in Mexico City and I can tell you, the only thing that resembles DF in this establishment is the music. The food is horrible, first of all, one shall never put lettuce or "unmelted" cheese in tacos al pastor. The tacos al pastor tasted like chorizo, the place was dirty (tables, floor, salad bar). The salad bar was not well kept, the cilantro was gone by the time I was there and I stopped before lunch time, salsas were insipid. The rice was god awful and the refried beans tasted like canned food.
I think this is the second worse Mexican food restaurant I've eaten in my life
First time visitor. Though it took longer than I expected to get my 3 soft carne tacos, I was not disappointed. Â Rich and savory! Â I added some lettuce, a little cheese, some onions and the red hot sauce. Â I probably didn't need to add any of it, the meat was so flavorful. Â And man, that red sauce was hot! Â Yes, I am about as white as you can get. Â Ha ha. Â I will definitely be back to try their other menu items. Â Word of advice: don't go on Friday afternoons. Â The traffic is loony tunes due to the mosque across the street. Â It is my understanding that Friday prayers are like Sunday church for Christians... if you're going to go, that's when you go (Friday afternoon). Â They have traffic cops and everything out on Parker and people checking to see who you are and why you're parking in the Tacos DF parking lot (patron parking only).
