I've had consistently great food and decent service here. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good restaurant near the mall.

Here we go...I thought I would never write a bad review for BB.  I have been going to BB during my travels since 2001.  I even worked there for 2 years in early 2000's.  Anyone who has went there for a long time knows how they slipped.  The good dishes have left or gotten worse.    Pizza's went away. Tres leche's went away.  Tiger prawns went away.   Salmon Paste changed over the years.  Crispy chicken salad went away.  Garlic bread change is worse. Fire roasted shrimp went to saute. Its now rubbery.  Pasta is overcooked. Ribs, my old favorite, is no longer fall off the bone. Its full of grissel. its been years since they changed the habanero wings, but they are no longer good.  Rope Veja went away years ago. was very good on sandwich. Jerk wings are not as good as use to be. prices have gone up and food is worse. they plan to open 100 more restaurants soon, but i will not go often.  I have always recommended this restaurant as a jewel, but now its a turd.  I have spent 1000's of dollars BB every year and brought them business through referrals and businesses. No more. This is a very sad day in my life as its been family to me. You are dead to me BB.

The place has a fun atmosphere that makes the stop worth a trip. First, Bahama Breeze interprets Caribbean food as sweet. I tend to like my food more savory. However, family members and folks that love this place, enjoy the menu a great deal. Having raised my differences, allow me to point out that my Cuban Sandwich was terrific! Not the best I have ever had, but very good none the less. The Garlic Hot Shrimp appetizer is garlicky but excellent.

The staff is very attentive and the addition of a Caribbean themed musician playing in the Bar was a nice fun touch. That evening, the patio featured a catered wedding reception; so obviously, this restaurant is a go to place for many in Towson.

All in all, a nice change of place restaurant for one to patronize.

Great place! Food is so delicious and the staff has always been great. I'm from Puerto Rico and this place kind of reminds me of home. Love it! Prices are good too. They also have Happy hour Monday-Friday: 4pm-6pm and Sunday-Thursday: 9pm-close. Enjoy!

great happy hour deals and tropical drinks - I love the layered pina colada / strawberry daiquiri and the bahamarita)

The foods pretty good - I love the bang bang shrimp appetizer

Plus they have tons of rooms, a nice bar, and outdoor seats

I came here for a free happy hour that a friend had won. When we first arrived things were not so great but, after everyone finally were on the same page. The bahamarita I just loved. I liked just about everything we tried on the happy hour menu. My favorite were those hot chicken wings there were spicy just to my liking.
I also enjoyed the onion rings. I can't wait to get back to this place.

This is one of these places I enjoy especially when everything on the appetizer menu is free.  My wife won a party from this establishment. My wife, kids and friends had a great time.

I'd say we had a 80/20 experience when it comes to bringing out the entries. We started with the chicken  wings, jumbo battered shrimp, beef empanadas. The coconut shrimp had a great coconut sweetness and were extra crunch- a plus in my book. BUT they were served with this mustard sauce I might eat with chicken tender the beef empanadas were amazing. I didn't really care for the goat cheese wrapped in a green pepper.

I was really amazed about the abundance of food that was brought to our table.
All-in-all I see myself coming back to Bahama Breeze, but the big decision will be whether I stick with the spicy chicken wing or something new.

Headed here for an early Friday night dinner. First the valets were very rude and being so young I was a little nervous to hand over my keys to a youngster to drive my car. Never mind that, I ordered the Salmon baked with mash pots and broccoli. First the salmon was so over cooked it was damn near burnt and you know how salmon tastes when its that over cooked( need I say more) so the most I ate was the broccoli and the mash pots which were good.

On a good note they did have a very good strawberry moijito, I would def go back for the drinks and nothing else.

I'd give it 5 stars except the people who work the front desk are so slow.

Met a friend for dinner and it was great. A live band came on play reggae music which  added to the great evening. The Yaka Hulu Hicky Dula was a great drink with a smooth kick. The warm Goat cheese in sweet red pepper is a great appetizer. The shrimp creole rice bowl is also amazing and filling. I will go back very soon.

Service was a little faster this time.  Too bad the server dropped the salad dressing on me.  And the food made me ill. (Up sick at 3 AM).  No offer to comp anything for spilling food on me+No mgr apology+not even bringing new napkins=I'm done with Bahama Bad.

I hadn't been to a Bahama Breeze since my days in Atlanta years ago.  I was excited to see this pop up in my Yelp search for a place to have lunch while in town for a sorority meeting.  I had the Key West fish tacos with the Bahamian seafood chowder and a side salad...everything tasted good, hot and fresh and kept me full the rest of the day.  I am happy to see a newer location has opened near Potomac Mills, which is a little closer to home if I had a sudden urge to take a road trip just to dine there (and perhaps shop at the outlets).

Nice little happy hour spot...went on Thursday had good music and 1/2 off appetizers...not sure if I'd pay their regular prices but I left happy. :)

Epic failure and I hadn't been seated yet. There was a wait for tables so we decided to eat at the bar. We would have had the bar not been littered with dirty plates and glasses. Absolutely filthy. The bartender stood there chatting with a server. He made no attempt to clean up. We left.

Every dish I have tried at Bahama Breeze has been delicious! The half-price happy hour specials are great for sharing appetizers and small plates. I like to order a side of fried plantains for dessert. It has a resort-like atmosphere and I find the wait staff to be very friendly. The earlier you arrive, the quicker you will be seated and served.

The menu has a cool collection of drinks, everything we got was great and it was hard deciding what to choose.

The meals... kind of standard. I like the island "flair" the items have. Mashed sweet potatoes are a nice change, for example. Otherwise, the meal I got was lost on me; I literally can't remember much of what anyone got. Nonetheless, the prices were on target, the food seemed fresh enough and not entirely unhealthy, and the atmosphere and service was decent, verging on very good.

Adjectives like "good" and "decent," yeah, so exciting. Not really much else to say, though.

I'd go back for dranks, though!

When my date suggested this place, I wasn't sure what to expect. This place has been in Towson for so long but no one ever talks about it or owns up to going there. I knew it was part of a chain so I was a bit turned off.

First of all, this place is right in the heart of Towson. Parking "for" Bahama Breeze is limited and you'll probably end up parking in the mall lot or Trader Joe's lot. Apparently there's valet parking but I never saw signs for this anywhere.

My date had made reservations which apparently are needed on a Friday night. Even with a reservation and getting there a few minutes early, we still had to wait 10-15 minutes. There was live music playing in the bar so the wait was at least enjoyable.

When we were taken to our seats, I was surprised at how massive this place is! There's all kinds of side rooms for additional seating. We were seated near the wall, right next to a server station. This was pretty annoying because for about 90% of our meal, a server was standing right next to our table getting silverware or filling drinks. A petition wall would have been nice.

As far as the food goes, I was absolutely amazed by my wood-grilled chicken. It was two large chicken breasts that were juicy and well-seasoned. It came with a side of brocolli (this was just okay, I thought it was better dipped in the sauce from the chicken) and a side of mashed potatoes. These were cinnamon sweet potatoes and the only way to describe them is odd. They didn't taste bad but they didn't fit in with the rest of the meal.

I didn't try any of their drinks, but the meal was well-priced for the quality of the good and the excellent service. I'll definitely be back again soon!

If you dont go here for anything else, go for the drinks. Their drinks are cheap and good! I came here on superbowl night, so it was BONE dry in there. But the few guests who were there all had tables full of drinks. So they were doing something right. The empanadas were delicious. Theres actually a sign outside before you walk in that says something along the lines of dont get drunk n drive home. And that the manager will actually make sure you get home safely. Now thats cool. lol. I gotta come back here during happy hour :)

This is just one of those places-- some things on the menu are awesome, some are a waste of time, and you get to play the game of chance to find out which is which!

I'd say we had a 50/50 experience when it comes to things I'd reorder again and things I'd skip over.. We started with the seafood chowder, which is exactly what you want it to be-- rich, creamy, and full of seafood! Along with what I believe to be clam and scallop pieces, they top off this chowder with a couple jumbo battered shrimp; so tasty!! If you're not too hungry, this thing could definitely be a meal in itself. But we were hungry, so I digress...

We then shared the coconut shrimp, beef empanadas, and fish tacos. The coconut shrimp had that great coconut sweetness and were extra crunch- a plus in my book. BUT they were served with this mustard sauce I might eat with chicken tenders or a pretzel. When I order my island-inspired shrimp, I'm looking for an island-inspired sauce to go with! It's just common sense, people. Moving along.. the beef empanadas were AMAZING. Seriously. I'd go back and just order these flakey, saucy pockets with their hot, juicy beefiness and serious PUNCH of flavor. There was the perfect balance of spices to really make this thing pop. Plus, it's served with a mango-jalapeño salsa that is sweet, spicy, and that tropical-inspired flavor I was looking for. Fish tacos were meh, forgettable. I like that the fish wasn't fried (like in most fish tacos), but it really wasn't anything special. The tortilla itself had this bitterness I wasn't too fond of and there wasn't enough guacamole in there to seal the deal. Womp, womp.

All-in-all I see myself coming back to Bahama Breeze, but the big decision will be whether I stick with what I know I love (chowder + empanadas) or take the risk with something new...

The food is mediocre at best.

The fish tacos were watery, the coconut shrimp were a bit too over cooked, the lemonade was extremely sweet and the server was fine until he decided to tell us his entire life's story towards the end.

We got out of there probably an hour past what we should have, mainly because this guy kept telling us his story and making us listen to recordings on his phone. Awkward and uncomfortable. I guess he thought it was socially ok?

Either way, the food isn't really worth coming across that guy again.

I just love the ambience of this place! It's really took me back to my vacation time in Bermuda! The music was great!

My dining experience was a 6 out of ten. My waitress was in still in training so everything was not perfect, however she did her best.

The flat bread chicken pizza would have been really good but the chicken on the pizza was still cold. :(

My date loved the smashed sweet potatoes and his grilled chicken. I had a applewood burger that was so good even tho many of the toppings that I asked to be removed wasn't.

The tropical drinks is what this place is know for and they made sure that statement stay true!! Our drinks were wonderful and pretty!

Overall I would come back! The music is so nice and drinks was good!

Plus weekdays before 6pm for $8 you can get a coattail and app!!! Good deal!

One of the better places in Towson with really good prices, especially for the ambiance. Totally recommend the tuna tartar. Also the mixed drinks are not bad.

I love love love Bahama Breeze. I love their cheap ass tropical drinks. I'm in love with fruity cocktails & they have a plethora. The prices on an average day is happy hour pricing in NYC. Happy hour pricing at Bahama Breeze is nonexistent in NYC. $2 & $3 drinks I love & it's not even for crappy well liquor. It's crazy exotic drinks. The food here is awesome. Can never go wrong with anything. The sweet Peruvian corn cakes is bomb, the goat cheese burger is bomb, the mango sorbet with fruit is bomb, the chocolate pineapple upside down cake with raspberry syrup & tropical fruit is more than bomb, it's orgasmic. Yes just yes! Everything is a go. I find the pricing for food to be average. My server was Becca, don't quote me. She was a sweetie. Very tentative. I was there 12/22 with my family around lunch time. Nice young woman.

I took my bf here on a date and the food was pretty good. The drinks are really good, it is like they imported drinks from the bahamas! we tried the crab and avocado stack which was good but i did not enjoy it as a whole. I did not care for the chips or the corn. I got the buttermilk fried chicken with mashed potatoes, spinach, tomato and cheese. I enjoyed it for the most part, especially the lemon butter sauce, but i wish it was a little bigger and that there was no corn and beans on the place just for decoration purposes. My bf got the lobster and shrimp pasta and it was really good and a huge portion.

This is a great place to eat and the prices are right for the portions. I have to say that I was impressed when I received my dish and realized that I was getting my moneys worth. The Paella was the dish for me. Shrimp, Scallops, mussels, sausages, mixed with rice and other seasonings, how could you go wrong?
If this is your first time going to Bahama Breeze don't be afraid to try something new because the menu has plenty of detail to help you paint a picture in your head. The drinks are just as good and  worth every penny. I ordered a Mojito to see if they are sticking to a true latino restaurant and they passed. The service was great as well. Everyone was friendly and had a smile on their face. Even though I sat at the bar, everyone seemed like they were having a good time.
The next time I go I will try something on the steak side. I can't wait. Enjoy everyone. :)

The happy hour was great: beef empanadas, coconut shrimp, and a waitress who let us get happy hour prices err after happy hour ended. Would have done 4 stars but the sangria tasted like "Christmas". Sounds weird I know but it did. Very minty.

I would like to rate this place. But I can't. Because the 25 minute wait (we called ahead) was an hour before we gave up.  I'm eight months pregnant and hungry and writing this review while I'm indignant.

Don't lie about your wait. Boo

We came here on a Monday afternoon for a friends birthday. Since I had already eaten more food than I are to discuss at another place, I ordered the yuca fries and a soda. I really love yuca. It's delicious. The fries were ok. Greasy and not full of flavor, but they were sufficient.

Service was kind of spotty. I waited a while before I finally got a refill on my soda. Plus I find the parking situation to be horrific here.

    Not bad, not great.

I would give this place 4 stars, but it's not good enough for me to push it over the 3-star edge.

They get an "A" for effort while attempting to bring a taste of the Caribbean to us here in the states.  This is the first time I've seen a restaurant do so many types of Caribbean food at once.  Since I've been twice with someone who is of 2 different Caribbean ethnic groups (one person, mixed race), we both agreed that the menu looks pretty nice and the food is decent.  Not the best, but the attempt is good.

We didn't really complain about any of the food, it just isn't 100% authentic or the most "out of this world" that you will ever have in your life.  Glancing through the reviews, some people commented on the decor.  I think it's nice.  It reminds me of the islands when I'm there.  Palm trees, paintings from the islands (or representing the islands), LOTS of drinks.

Overall it's an okay place.  If you want authentic food from the islands with the perfect atmosphere, go there.  Not Towson.

Ok, two days later, the Hub and I shared the leftover shrimp and lobster pasta and it was still pretty good.  Even the Ceasar salad was ok.
Likewise, we ate the onion rings for about 2 days afterwards, heating them up in the oven.  It was a lot of food.
If you like big portions and rich, caloric food, Bahama Breeze is for you!

Okay, first thing's first.  To everyone who thinks they're a qualified "food critic," Shut UP.  Just because you can blog on here doesn't make you top chef of our area.

Okay, anyways, back to my thoughts on this lovely establishment.  When we walked in, we were greeted by two lovely hosts who gave us an estimated time and recommended we would go check out the bar (in which we did).  The drink selection is gorgeous with a flavor to satisfy anyone's taste buds.  I got a bahama mama, and my date got (oh i forget) but nonetheless it was delicious.  For some reason it seemed though the bartenders liked her more because hers was MUCH stronger...oh well :P

Turns out we got seated before our original thought (good news!) and we were sat by our hostess (which was kind of in a hurry, but that's okay).

When our waitress came up, she (too) was in a rush, but I understand that being a server myself.  We HATE people that take their time on the menu, we just want to put it into the computer so we don't forget.  So it's not that we're rushing you, we just want to make sure you don't complain later when your food's not in front of you.

We started off with the hummus for like $4.  AWESOME.  It was a great, small, snack to nom on while we waited for a HUMONGO burgers to come.  Both my date and I were intimidated because we have small stomachs.  But, instead of fries, we got the fruit bowls WITHOUT the sorbet.  No reason to make fruit more sugary, fruit is delicious enough :P

The burgers were cooked very well.  Although I would have liked mine just a teeny weeny bit more pink, it was delicious and i devoured it.  Also, the burgers are HEAVY.  When you pick on of those bad boys up, it's like 10 pounds!  Not really, I just exaggerating (obviously).

The food was awesome.  Our waitress was awesome.  It's a different restaurant from any else I've been too.  My date and I were actually talking about how we felt like we were in a cross between cuba and the bahamas lol.

Go here, you won't regret it.  Everything is cooked and prepared well (In MY experience).  I'm not going to say "OMG THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE GO AWAY!"  Who are you?  Enjoy!

Had an awesome time here during my last visit.

As has been mentioned by several other yelpers, the food is not necessarily authentic Caribbean cuisine but it's still really good food that is inspired from that region.

I ordered the coconut shrimp, beef patties and chicken empanadas.  The shrimp were properly cooked and the coconut batter offered a perfect flavor pairing.  The empanadas were also packed with flavor.  The beef patties were awesome.  The pastry shell was made just right with the perfect balance of crispness and tenderness.  The patties had great seasoning and the sour cream apple mango salsa combo was addictive.

What really took this experience to the next level was our waiter Tyson.  This guy was a fantastic server and took every step to make sure everything came out promptly and as ordered.  He encouraged us to take our time even though we were the last people in the restaurant and offered some comedic humor.  He even went over the bill and fixed some mistakes on his own.  We may have gotten him beaten up by the kitchen staff due to us placing the final orders right at closing time but he set the gold standard for servers.

Side note:  Our server mentioned getting a 2.5% tip on a $120 bill from a group that told him he was the greatest server they had ever had.  I hope nobody in that group was a yelper because if they were they deserve to be suspended!

I did not know what to make of this place between the ambiance and the decor....I was almost at a tropical Denny's ha ha.

    The order:
Hummus app- lots of veggies and delicious hummus.
Kabob chicken with yellow rice- delicious and not generic.
Cilantro-Lime chicken breast with yellow rice- delicious as well.

The island influence and gracious server made this experience a pleasant one. I plan to return soon as the image of others at my table with their habanero wings and oohs and aahs have yet to leave me.

As Mo.A said, " You can't really go wrong with whatever you choose here. "

Tip: Have valet parking and you can just tip.

I'm a big fan of mojitos and all things festive so when my boyfriend moved to Mt. Washington I was excited to try Bahama Breeze.  My first experience was great, we had an amazing waiter, the drinks are really reasonable a little over $5 for a mojito, less during happy hour, and the food is yummy.  I'm a huge fan of their beef patties, and salsa.  Everything comes in big portions and is pretty inexpensive for the quality.

I ventured to Bahama Breeze again this past weekend, and the service wasn't as attentive and my mojito was slightly syrupy which I didn't like.  Overall this is a solid option if you're in the area, but it seems like it may be inconsistent.

This is another good place to go on a 1st date OR a nice place to go for brunch.
I went to this restaurant with my mom and sisters. Ordered the spicy chicken  patties  with sour cream and corn on the side.  It' was beyond tasty. And i had the coconut shrimp for my dinner. It came with mashed potatoes and red rice.
The sides of my meal wasn't Impressive. Rice was dry. Potatoes were cold. None then the less I still enjoyed going there.

Below Average Food + Slightly Above Pleasant Service + Horrible Drinks + Way to Expensive for what the food is =   DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

"I don't know why I continue to come to this place other than its close to parking and is easy to get to if you are at the Mall, wait a tick... Oh that's right those are ingredients for a great fast food joint!?"  I say to myself every time I pay the bill.

When this place 1st opened many moons ago I knew the bartender as she was the girl friend of a good friend of mine.  We could get good drinks, then she moved to Florida and I am pretty sure they replaced her with a homeless blind man because they wanted to do good for the community.  The Bar went down hill and the food has never really changed by to call it Caribbean is an outrage.

If you are at the Towson Towncenter and are in need of grub.  DON'T COME HERE!

Busy, busy, busy. For what? Some frozen coconut shrimp flown in from SE Asian farms where mangrove swamps once protected precious microclimates, some cheap umbrella drinks, and the terrible parking lot in the Towson Town Center above which this franchise location looms like a weird flying saucer. This is so NOT Caribbean cooking. And that breeze ain't coming from the Bahamas, mon! It's coming from the student dorm rooms at Towson University, and it does not smell pretty.

Spare yourself the Bahama Breeze corporate branded experience and go to a place nearby that is local instead. Even the Melting Pot is better than this!

Bahama Breeze is definitely on the overly decorated, faux tropical side of things.  But I still found it to be a rather pleasant place.  No, you're not going to feel like you've been transported to the carribbean, but for people looking for a light-hearted escape from the bustle of Towson it actually does a pretty decent job with their tropical themed decor and surprisingly good (and refreshing!) drinks.  I hear it gets very crowded and busy at night, but for an early Saturday lunch it was completely relaxed and dead.  Maybe my opinion would change if I came during a more crowded time.

Their menu has a lot of jamaican inspired food.  Lots of Caribbean themed dishes that are a bit underflavored, but unique enough that it would provide you with a somewhat out of the box experience if you can be open-minded enough to get past the manufactured feel of it.  I got the fish tacos which were light but satisfying.  Not bursting of flavor, but decent enough.  My parents got the firecracker shrimp appetizer and the crab, shrimp, and mango stack.  The firecracker shrimp is of the standard fried coconut shrimp with a spicy mayo type sauce, but the crab stack thing was actually pretty unique and quite good.  Light and refreshing.

We didn't get any alcoholic drinks, but we did get their signature lemonade which was a bit sweet but perfect after watering it down a little with my water.  The other drinks though sounded appealing and I'm sure are really popular with the tropical, girlie drink loving crowd.

So overall I was pleasantly surprised by my meal here.  The food is light and refreshing with lots of citrus flavors, grilled meats, and seafood and almost everything (at least on the lunch menu) was $10 or less.  I wouldn't go too far out of my way, but I wouldn't be hesitant to come here at all.  I can't make any claims about the dinner or "nightlife" scene here, but for lunch I think it's a very solid option.

    STEEPED IN MEDIOCRITY

Places like this have the type of atmosphere that gives me a certain shudder. The type of people that go to this place are the type of people that dress like a douche for work - and then you see them outside of work and realize that they always dress like a douche. Such as wearing Dockers khakis and tucked in really ugly short sleeve polos. I thought people only wore shit like that when it's required.

Anyway, as I was in Towson in business I was looking for a quick bite - I ended up here. My bad. On a Sunday about 6:30pm it was completely insane and I ended up sitting at the bar as tables were all taken.

Atmosphere is LOUD. Not a fan of loud atmosphere restaurants but that's me. At this point a reader of this review may ask "why the hell did you not leave at this point?". I don't have a good answer for that. Weirdly enough I wasn't in the mood for exploring and simply wanted a meal and to go back to the hotel room to watch cable.

The bartender proceeded to chit chat and talk to some ditz cadet trio of early 20's women next to me and make the rounds to everyone at the bar except me. Hey - Menu please buttlips! Strike two. I skip strike one and go to strike two when it takes 10 minutes before I get a "hey" or a menu put in front of me.

I ordered the margarita chicken which was like $15 which I thought was fairly high priced based on the description. No big deal as it's expensed per travel but I still try to eat economically when I travel but I live under the philosophy that there are plenty of good restaurants where one can get a $8-$12 meal of quality.

I must say the meal didn't bring "a veritable feast for the palate" to mind. Nothing special. Fresh tomato per the menu description was small diced tomato. Maybe it's just me but when I read "fresh tomato" on a menu - I anticipate a larger chunk or slice of tomato - not small diced pieces. The Island rice was mediocre. Chicken ok.

Basically the meal I got seemed like it should have been like a $9 meal and would have been marginal for quality at that price point.

Bartender was extremely inattentive to follow up for bill and refill of drink. I realize that bad service as such can be simply one dumbass person that doesn't reflect the company as a whole but either way - the service sucked.

A chain restaurant and a chain experience. I should have walked around the neighborhood more to find some little authentic ethnic restaurant as opposed to some cliched Caribbean place.
