Bahama Breeze

Lunch recently, big attractive place and it was really busy, a waiting line for lunch in tyngsboro!!!!!  we ate at the bar, service was ok as there was just one bar tender covering everything and some of the local tables so she was pretty busy, drinks were good, small selection of beers, food was very good and pretty reasonably priced so we were impressed....not really my type of place but pretty decent!!!

Just went here last night for my second time and I have mixed feelings.  Upon entering the building I approached the hostess "Alyss" and received a very annoyed "how many" greeting  while handing me the buzzer- no hello back, no welcome, no thank you, not even an attempt at a forced smile and it wasn't like it was busy.  We were told about a 20 minute wait and were seated in about 15.  Our waitress was very friendly, which made up for the bad interaction with the hostess.  The food was good, just your typical chain restaurant cuisine with an island flare. I think I'll come back for a nice easy good weeknight dinner out.  I got the Key West Fish Tacos and specifically said I did not want cilantro, which the waitress made note of.  When I got the plate, you could tell that cilantro had been sprinkled on top of the tacos and scooped off before serving to me.  Unfortunately, they didn't get it all and I had to remove it myself- thank goodness I am not allergic to it.  Once we got the bill, we realized we were charged for an appetizer that we didn't order or receive and had to have the waitress remove it.  

As we were walking out, the same hostess just looked at us like she couldn't be bothered and didn't even say goodbye or have a good night.  Go here with the expectation that service is spotty so you are not disappointed and make sure to double check your bill before paying.   Also, if you sign up for their "Island Insiders" club on their website, they will email you a $10 off $20 food purchase which is a great deal.

Went out to dinner this past week with my wife and daughter and loved everything about Bahama Breeze. Our server Eric was phenomenal, his suggestions on drinks and entrees were spot on. The food was delivered quickly and we couldn't have asked for a better meal.

My wife got the avocado and goat-cheese burger and she's still talking about it days later.
