Ate here on a Friday night around 7:30 p.m. Even though it was busy, we were seated immediately. Unfortunately we waited 10 minutes before our server, who walked past our table numerous times, stopped by to introduce himself and take our order. Â
The Firecracker Shrimp appetizer was good and the mixed drinks were okay. I had a "Zombie" and my friend tried the "Pain Killer". They weren't the strongest drinks I've ever been served, but they were decent. The food was decent, and the severs who brought our entrees out were very helpful.
Unfortunately, our main server just didn't seem very interested in doing anything for us that evening. In all, he stopped by our table two times. Once to take our order and once to give me the bill. He pretty much put a damper on my opinion of the place. Remove him from the equation, and the place was pretty decent. Most of the other severs seemed eager and friendly.
My advice would be to visit earlier in the day when it's not so busy, say mid-afternoon, for some drinks by the bar or outside on the patio.
This is like the Carribean Applebee's.
Half price appetizers and drinks though for happy hour was a very good deal!!
Crab stack - interesting, a good portion.
Lobster and shrimp quesadillas - pretty good.
My first mojito was very strong so I had to ask for another one. :( But they brought it no problem. And then it was quite good.
