Baker Hill Tavern

KP hangout. Great dive bar in the land of no dive bars. I wish this place were around when I was going to school. Come in and enjoy the atmosphere. Buy the cadets hanging around a pitcher of beer and you'll have friends for life. Don't expect white table clothes and champagne - unless you mean 'the champagne of beers'.

Hidden Great Neck Gem.  

In a town not known for their bars/pubs, Baker Hill Tavern is a great place to grab a beer with some friends.  The fresh popcorn/peanuts and assortment of games (Darts, pool & beer pong) can keep everyone entertained, while the game is on the tube.

This place is certainly not flashy, but it gets the job done in every way shape and form.  If you live in the area - check it out!

A bar tucked deep into Great Neck. It now sports a recently renovated front. A nice place to grab a brew, watch the game or shoot some pool. Darts and beer pong can be played too.  

Bartenders take requests for which games should go up on the TVs. Popcorn or peanuts, either way a nice touch when you are sitting with friends at the bar.

The prices are nice, especially in this town. $8 for a pitcher of PBR/Miller/Coors can be had. Full selection of alcohol for shots and mixed drinks too.

Weekdays are fairly low-key. Weekends there are lots of Merchant Marines (from the local school). I'm kinda surprised people don't come to pick them up since they do the same physical training that the armed forces do.

All in all a nice spot to sit down, grab a pitcher and watch a game without blowing up your wallet.
