The ambience is surprisingly quite modern and unassuming for this decrepit terminal 2/3 of JFK (can be found at Gate 15), outfitted as it is with iPads for ordering food and browsing your garden-variety Apps.
The food was alright and overall below expectations. They were out of the taleggio/fennel bruschetta, which was disappointing, so I decided for the prosciutto/fig combination instead. The half-inch thick fig spread was overpowering, no subtlety whatsoever. Tasty and a god value otherwise.
The espresso was really watery and disappointing, with no trace of crema to be found. I was expecting better for $3.
The alcoholic bevs menu was really impressive, though priced on the high end, even for an airport joint.
All in all, a 3 star experience.
