Swiss Air Lounge

While the benefits offered to SWISS FTL/SENs steadily declines, this lounge is one of the beacons of hope still upholding a standard to adhere to.

In my personal opinion, the lounge in JFK is one of the nicest and friendliest especially on this side of the atlantic. If you've ever found yourself in the Lufthansa lounge in Boston, you'll know the difference.

Design is bright, sleek and modern. The bar doesn't feature any top-shelf booze, but is still okay for a decent pre-flight drink. They offer some booze, lots of juices and softdrinks and, obviously, coffee and tea.

As for food: The offer is limited, but okay. In June 2013, they are serving fruits (mainly cut strawberries) and penne with chicken, which is fine for free food.

The biggest benefit of this place is, that the staff actually cares about you. Compared to other lounges, the level of friendliness here is quite astonishing.

Not too bad.  Sleek modern design.  Friendly staff.  Self-serve alcohol and food.  Bathrooms are not ideal, but functional.  Location is good, right after the new security check point and to the right.  Food is lighter fare but good quality.  Chicken broccoli penne, stir fry veggies, cheese (or course) and various pastries and breads. Fresh fruit and salads.
