Bar Louie

Bar Louie is a pretty decent place (for the Northland) for a happy hour.  They have a better beer selection than most other places have in the area and the food is pretty good for the most part.  Drink prices can be a little bit high occasionally, but they do have good happy hour specials.  I've been here a couple times when they've done live music which can be fun.  

The only thing I would call a complaint would be that service can really vary.  On multiple occasions servers will disappear for a while, come back and let me know they were on break and 'so-and-so' was supposed to have taken care of our group.

Great happy hour on weekdays & Tuesday $1 burger night is a must!  The draft beers are all $1 off during happy hour and they have a fair selection of premium brews.

Tuesday full-sized beef, turkey and veggie burgers are just $1- added toppings range from $0.50-1.00.  The beef burger I got was nicely cooked with plenty of cheese, lettuce and tomato (which I had added...).

We sat at the bar & the service was still sub par.  Our bartender never checked on us to see if we wanted another drink and we had to get up and flag her down to get the check.  As couple that sat at the high top behind us waited over 10 minutes before even being acknowledged by staff.  It think they need to get their management in order, but happy hour and the nice outdoor patio will likely have we coming back in nice weather.

I went in and sat down and was not greeted by a server for ten minutes. I then went to the bar to ask for a server. The bartender gets a server for us,and I see the server look over at us and give it to another waiter, which was the #1. I have been there and been a waiter and didn't want to take a table but I would of never done that in FRONT of my table. ( Keep in mind I am college educated and have a full time job in Advertising.. I am not scummy)

#2 The thing wrong. The waiter comes over and greets us and ask for our drink order, and we order a beer each. We wait 4 minutes and we are literally 3 steps away from the bar.

#3 We get our beers and automatically order because we are starving.  By now we are just thinking maybe the servers were busy or having an off night..

#4 We wait for 25 minutes with no food, and the table BEHIND us that sat down 6 minutes after us gets their food. By this time I was getting mad.

#5 Our food comes out 30 minutes later and we are missing our tatertots and ranch that we had asked for.

#6  Thankfully the manager was right there and we told him what had happened and he got us our tatertots and ranch.

#7 We are excited to finally eat our food, and it is luke warm...even the tatertots the MANAGER just went and got.

I was very disappointed in this place.

Also, one of the waitresses was talking about how they are currently 'under watch' right now for over serving their customers alcohol. Way to keep it Classy and Safe Bar Louie..
