Small, country bar in the El Sobrante / Pinole area. But I enjoy it., but then again it does not take a lot to entertain me. The bar could use a little more diversity with regards to it's patrons, but I actually enjoy it. I'm a female from New York City, so generally speaking small joints such as this don't generally appeal to me, but I have found the people to be very friendly. When I first sit down, it's a little awkward, but after awhile (and a few drinks), nothing really matters. LOL Â It's cool to watch people play pool, I enjoy the juke box, and I try to play music that "pleases us all". :-) Cool spot, particularly if you want a late night drink. Â The bar is so small though, I do worry about the potential of a fight breaking out, and my being trapped. But from my understanding this rarely if ever happens.
Bartenders pour generous drinks, and serve either Hot Links or Polish Sausages. Pretty cool.
It's a tiny dive.
I think if you bring your own crowd with you you'll be ok. But it's so small that if it's just you and another person then you be at the mercy of whatever else is going on there that night.
There was Karaoke the night we stopped by... our crowd was younger and "ethnic" so as I looked around and took it all in I realized that if it wasn't for us the place would be pretty much empty except for a few pickled regulars and alot less 'diversity'.
The bartender was sweet.
