My sister had her going away party here and being raised as a "City girl", I am very skeptical about how "crackin" an East Bay establishment can be, I must say that everyone with me indeed had a good time (but they're from Richmond anyway so they could probably have a good time at a 7-11 parking lot with a bottle of Henn, no offense, lol) But overall, it was OK.
There's dancing on the dance floor, and singing because this is a karaoke bar... but not your mama's karaoke bar. Everyone that sang was really good and it sort of intimidated everyone, or it actually encouraged everyone to participate because there would be random strangers dancing while others were singing. Music was radio jams/top 40's karaoke.
Drinks were kinda pricey for Richmond. Also, you can bring food? I'm not sure if that's how Richmond rolls or if you have to tell them in advance but our group brought in large dishes of Popeye's chicken, fried rice, chow mein, cake, etc... Â Food in a bar? Um okay. But at least I wasn't hungry. I aint gonna lie. I ate it.
There's no dress code at all but the crowd is kinda sketchy. It's located in the middle of some abandoned plaza next to a liquor store. There were a few people that were rude and bumped into me and I'm pregnant HELLOOOOO.
The MC was this older lady named Joy who can also rap. In her words... "whaaaat, you knnoooow about thaaat..."
