Went into this simple and (on a tuesday afternoon) EXTREMELY quiet bar for a burger and soda recently, and was surprised and amused to find that the greeter... was also the bar tender... was also the waiter... was also the cook... and was also going to take time to explain the trivia and karaoke going on later that evening, and how my friend and myself should return.

What's more amazing?  He managed it!  Drinks were refilled regularly, service was friendly and quick, and the burgers were large, juicy and seasoned with a slightly spicy char on the outside.  The cheese on top wasnt entirely melted, but didn't detract from the meal and I was starving anyway, so greedily devoured the entirety.  I wish I could remember the young man's name, but I believe he said he was managing, or perhaps even a part owner of this business, and at least that afternoon, he did a phenomenal job.

Lastly, the story of Bat Shea is one of the most fascinating and controversy-filled in Troy's illustrious history, so kudos on the great business name.  Wish I had thought of it!

One of the stranger bars I've been to in a while ... Which isn't to say I won't go back.

Went for the advertised Monday night trivia, but left after realizing it was more karaoke than trivia - not after spending $16 on two drinks (a large vodka soda, and a margarita, which was also advertised as a dollar off on Monday), which seemed too pricey for a watery vodka soda and a mediocre (but strong) margarita.

    2.5 stars.

My gentleman friend and I stopped in for apps and some Guinness.  The barkeep attempted to correctly pull the "pint" but may need a refresher course on the 119.52 second perfect pull.  I say "pint" because it was not an imperial pint, but oh well.

My gentleman friend had the Irish quesadilla (corned beef, mashed, and cheddar, served with Guinness sour cream).  I had a bite or two and it was tasty.  I got the corned beef hash spring roll (exactly as described) which was okay but it was more potato than meat and served with whiskey mustard.  I'd love to see a Celtic Nations pub that serves black & white pudding or blood sausage (mmm, pig's blood).

The space is cute and green.  It could use a little more in the wall decor department.  I like their music selection (heard Tom Waits, REM, and Roy Orbison while we were there).  Our waitress was almost overly attentive but charming nevertheless.  The bathrooms are "one seaters" but clean.

While I wasn't blown out of the water, it was okay ish
    Suggestions:
serve imperial pints and glasses of beer
serve something made with pig's blood.
