Beefcake Burgers

Seriously, best burger I've had on the south side. Tons of great toppings that can be added FOR FREE. The kid's meal is even the perfect size for the not-so-hungry adult.

Great fries and onion rings. Oh, and did I mention they sell beer, because honestly, what goes better with an awesome burger? Nothing.

A little off the beaten path, as in not directly on the main road. But take the time to find it because it really is great!

I've been to Beefcakes numerous times; it's been very good at times and once not so great; the mgr. told us he's trying to give a particular cook opportunity to improve so for now (which has been a couple of weeks ago) recommended not to come Wed. or Sun....ok? No.
I especially like you can build your own burger 1 to (yes!) 11 on one bun. There are a few cheese choices including American and Swiss, top it with choices of lettuce, tomato, raw onions, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, pickles, relish, mustard, mayo and ketchup...maybe more but more than enough for me.
Add a drink and either fries or fresh and crispy, not overly battered mild onion rings for $ 2.25. A much better price ordering that combo than seperately.
The girls have always been courteous to us and seems there is a stable group that have been there since opening this summer. Today we mentioned why not have a loyalty card for people who come often which sounded good to her and she'd pass it on; numerous people are offering suggestions.
I have found the the entire place clean including the restroom but there is only the one.
Near the drink area is plastic flatware, napkins, straws, extra packets of condiments.
On one table a place to play checkers. All the tables have A-1, the Red Gold (Indiana) ketchup, salt, and pepper.
Outside while it was warm picnic style tables with large umbrellas as well as a few two seaters. A corn hole game set up at one end of the patio too. The patio area is still open.
A note to smokers there is no place for cigarette butts yet.
