The best local bar, great music delicious food, and really friendly people. Â Took the family here (no one under 18 allowed after 8 pm), and my children loved the Chicken wings, fried rice, and the cold tofu. Â We learned that the cook also works at Blossom Okazuya in Kailua. Â There is live music on the weekends, but the bar is packed. Â Get there early. Â
Everyone there is really cool and friendly. Â Please note that you are in the heart of Waimanalo, be sure to be respectful and in turn, the be there are wonderful!
highly recommend and will visit again...
logged in so i can rate this friendly place. Â after tom tom hike, busted in @ opening, 2pm, owners? welcomed us in to a clean and well stocked place. Â they were eating from the menu; you know that's a good sign ;)) ; heck, they even offered to have us sample their own lunch!!
... ordered a foo foo drink & instead of rejecting her because they didn't know how to make it, they tried to make it honestly and did an excellent job! Â everyone knows that many places would simply say they do not make that drink and to order something else...
each dish was very good: beef tomato, pork & ang(sp?) choy, lol, even chx wings (no sauce), but ranch on the side...
sometimes places can feel intimidating, but this family made us (townies) feel welcome; even the patrons were friendly, letting us know about more hikes in the area...the best things food-wise, were the sauces they used for the dishes....kinda garlicky...etc
We were spending a night away from home and camping up at Bellows. Â We don't go out and enjoy the nightlife often because we aren't much into the club scene and the big bars of Waikiki. Â We decided to go to Big Country Bar & Grill for a couple hours. Â We were there too early for the live music unfortunately.
The ambiance here was a little more what I am accustomed to back home, very local, small and friendly. Â Everybody that was working there was great and the other patrons were nice as well. Â We tried the tempura potatoes and really enjoyed them! Â I wasn't able to find them on FB to see their deals and live performances, which was a bummer.
We will be back for sure when we are up in the Wiamanalo area.
AWESOME LOCAL BAR!!! Â Great food and the BEST free entertainment. Â I would highly recommend you stoppping by. Â Very welcoming place... wether you're a visitor or local. Â The music is definately the best. Â Perfect place to experience the "real" Hawaiian Music! Â No reggae type stuff. Â Can't wait to go back, relax and have a good time.
Review Source:I absolutely LOVE BCBG! Â The staff is friendly and the clientele are a wonderful mix of every segment of the community. Â The music is old school kanikapila Hawaiian--great professional musicians & surprising talent among those who sing karaoke. Â The beer is cold & the food is ono-licious. Â I've never had a dish I didn't adore. Â Security is adequate so I've never witnessed a fight or felt uncomfortable. Â It's a place that a single girl like me can go to & know I'll be safe. Â The owners Dee & Kaleo are welcoming & appreciative of the business.

Good food? Double check!
Chill atmosphere? Triple check!
Some must try pupus include: crispy Filipino style pork complete with tomatos onions and tangy vinegar sauce, fish fried rice made with fresh ahi everyday and tempura french fries. Yes that's right big potatoe wedges dipped in tempura batter and fried to delicious perfection.
Like them on facebook to recieve latest deals any scheduled live performances. If you're looking for a new chill spot definately check this place out. Oh and don't forget to ask for their assortment of specialty shots.
came here twice since they opened and both times i enjoyed myself very much. it is a very local oriented bar so leave your ego's at the door before you come in...... the owners are very nice hawaiians and yes i said the owners are hawaiians!...... how much more local does it get!.... they also have live music most nights and its all local hawaiian music, not that kccn jawaiian crap that you hear on the radio all the time....... its quite refreshing in my opinion...... if a true local hawaiian style pub is what your looking for then this is the place!........ps. they also serve sardines with onions as a pupu and thats some cool shit!.
